Pretty sure 99.99% of CT don’t realize the actual mascot of @grok sits at 500k market cap on mainnet

And yet people haven’t yet realized a narrative this big, but soon everyone will catch on
Early.
yeah, it's weird how crypto pulls in both some of the most talented people and some of the absolute worst people on the planet
It just swings between those two extremes
key takeaways from the interview:
concentrate on your highest conviction ideas. If your goal is to grow your portfolio, why allocate capital to your second best idea instead of your best one?
avoid old altcoins with persistent sell pressure. many holders are unwilling to sell at -90%, but will sell into even the smallest bounce. these overhead supply walls create unnecessary resistance to price appreciation
build a circle of people who challenge you. find a group to share new ideas, get feedback on your existing ones, and push each other to think harder and perform better
master emotional regulation
know when to shift from growth to preservation. beyond a certain financial threshold, additional portfolio growth contributes less to your quality of life. recognize when you've reached that point, reduce your risk exposure, and transition toward a more diversified portfolio focused on preserving wealth

a lot of traders were sitting on 7 figure unrealized profits during the recent SocialFi runs, but instead of slowly taking profits while their coins were going up and volume was high, most kept holding for even bigger numbers
if more people had gradually DCAed out and actually secured those profits, we’d have way more success stories, more people making life changing money, more volume into trenches and a much more positive market overall
instead, everyone is obsessed with posting unrealized PnL screenshots and holding for the next 10x even after already being up life changing money
the problem is that when almost nobody actually realizes those profits, a few red days like the ones we’re having now are enough to completely kill the vibes and make it feel like the party is over
imagine how much healthier the market would be if we had more people actually walking away with 6-7 figure profits instead of roundtripping everything. those are the success stories that bring new people in and keep existing traders motivated
SocialFi might genuinely be the best thing to happen to memecoins so far, but the mentality around it is completely wrong. people are more focused on showing who’s holding the biggest bag than actually making money
taking profits isn’t bearish and selling into volume doesn’t mean you’ve stopped believing in a coin
never forget that unrealized PnL isn’t money in your pocket. you’re not in profit until you sell
facts facts facts.
last bullrun, I really fucked myself by staying home 24/7 under the premise of “locking in.”
ofc I made stupid amounts of money, but it was never and will never be worth it.
I spent a few months genuinely hating myself for basically burying my irl life just to make more money.
NEVER AGAIN.
This is such a good listen
Exactly about a week I was trying to understand what I spent my time on crypto and what do I do
I realised that a lot of it was just seeing coins, scrolling X which I thought was me working but it really wasn't
Then I identified time attention spans, when the volume is low I research, read, listen to podcasts than try to catch a trade
Similarly during good volume hours I try to trade but again not force trades
An important thing I would like to do this cycle as opposed to last one is a healthy balance with real world as its easy to loose your way into this virtual bubble
Spending time outside with friends, familiy or pursuing hobby is absolutely essential for good mental health and to ensure you don't make emotional decisions

Everyone is shitting on FOMO but in reality FOMO saved memecoins

“Oh wow look how cool everyone on the fomo team is! I wish I could go to private events with Rasmr,Frank,Orangie and brezscales and take pictures. Maybe if I keep supporting the fomo team and using the app I’ll finally become one of the insiders.”
This is the average normie thoughts when they use fomo. Fomo is high fee garbage used to fund wanna be Instagram traders lifestyles. I would rather pay to use another app than help these clowns flaunt their lifestyle paid for by the trenches.
you will almost never time the exact bottom perfectly
the key is to build your position systematically through DCA
keep asking yourself: if I had no position right now, would I be buying at these prices?
because every day you choose not to sell is, in a way, another day you're choosing to "buy" the asset
I’d generally advise against trying to nail the bottom itself
instead, look for fresh catalysts that could actually create the conditions for a bottom
you really shouldn't try to catch the lowest tick, sometimes it's better buying after a confirmation signal per se
fun fact:
most people blow up their portfolios with insider plays
whenever someone sends you a play, think carefully about where you sit in the shill radius
more importantly, understand their motive. nobody shares real alpha just because they like you. they do it because they expect you to reciprocate the effort they’re putting into the relationship
reciprocate is the key word. this is a dog eat dog environment. If you find someone like that, you’d better match their effort
generally, the farther you are from the original source, the more skeptical you should be of the “edge” you’re being sold
