The Government has launched a public consultation on proposals for Local Government Re-Organisation – the biggest change to Local Government in 50 years. This is the only opportunity for our communities to have their views heard as part of these reforms. I pushed for local referendums so residents could have a direct say, however this was rejected by Government. 📅 The consultation is live now until 23.59 on 26th March. You can respond online via the links below: 📍 Rutland and Leicestershire: bit.ly/4rWC15G 📍 Lincolnshire: bit.ly/4btpmRO You can also respond: 📧 By email: [email protected] 📬 By post: LGR Consultation, Fry Building 2NE, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, 2 Marsham Street, London, SW1P 4DF Please take the time to have your say. Our communities deserve to be heard.

Today is apparently the 50th Anniversary of Rutland Weekend Television! That will mean absolute nothing to most of you, but a lot to me.
