Hi all! Just wondering how many of you are still seeing my posts? Please let me know and help me share my art with the world!
Thank you so much!
All of this right here
Quinn Hughes' biggest error in a Canucks uniform was not being able to personally squash a 6-year beef between two guys who run emotional. He probably never should have been named captain, but he was forced into that spot after Petey & Miller proved they weren't fit.
In 2025, he played through injury for months with the Canucks & skipped the Four Nations so he could protect his availability for a Canucks playoff push. By the time he asked for a trade, the team was sitting 32nd in the NHL in December while Quinn was 1st on Vancouver in points and 1st league-wide in ice-time.
The Canucks from 2019 - 2025 were in an endless cycle of self-flagellating re-tooling which kept the cupboards permanently depleted. They always prioritized the immediate future over a long-term plan. Quinn's return was fair & was the clear anchor that begun their current rebuild - something the fans have wanted for a decade.
Quinn never sat out, forced a trade, or "quit" on the Canucks. What you'll find is bad body language at the end of shifts in the final ~10 games of his tenure. In the nearly 500 games before that, he was the greatest defenseman to ever play for the Canucks and competed as hard as anyone on the ice.
Booing Quinn would be a mistake and a complete misread of what his tenure meant for the Canucks, what he gave this organization, and why his time here ended up the way it did.
#Oilers are gonna need a phantom slashing call to bail them out here pretty quick 😂
If I'm a Canuck I'm taking a dive the next time I feel a stick anywhere near me. After that flop by Dach, all bets are off.
Babcock is going to demand every #Oilers players phone before this period is over
