This is what an engine failure looks like when a pilot is prepared for it. With the engine at idle, the H130 descends while its rotor blades keep spinning. The pilot carefully controls the descent, slows the helicopter just before reaching the ground and uses the remaining energy in the blades to make a safe landing.
No engine power, no second attempt. Just skill, training and precise control all the way to the ground. This is exactly why pilots train for these situations. A full-down autorotation in an Airbus H130! 🚁
