Imagine thinking you should be the one to explain tax law to Katie Porter.
A Big Oil exec told me I had a "misconception" about a special tax break polluters get that other businesses don't. So, after explaining the deduction to him, I offered to write it out of the tax code if that what he wants. Just let me know!

1. For people mad at Dems. Can we try to understand how politics (not justice) works? Here are some things: the Dems simply wanted the phone call information to be added to the record. They threatened to call witnesses as a negotiation tactic - thus getting the Republicans to

Democracy is fragile. We, the people, are its stewards. And we have a lot of work to do to protect it from those who attack it. Let's encourage our representatives to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act as a first step to safeguard access to the ballot. #DemocracyAgenda

Before cell phone cameras, de jure and de facto segregation made it hard for non-black Americans to pierce the veil and see the disparate treatment black people experience at the hands of the police. Their own experiences may have made black complaints seem impossible.

2021 will be a hard year in the life of the American nation. There is a great struggle that lies before us and our disbelief at its arrival must not blind us to the lethal danger it poses to the American experiment. 1/

Donald Trump is the Iraq War of Presidents. In 15 years, everyone who pushed hardest for it will act like it just happened all on its own.

Oversight isn't about the questions I have; it's about the answers the American people deserve. In my next term, I promise to keep bringing the receipts—and yes, the whiteboard. Here's a five-minute recap of my first two years (shout out my staff!) ⬇️

THANK YOU! When were they ever asked to understand our disappointment. Maybe those “liberal tears” that they gleefully drank each morning caused them to loss any sense of decency for FOUR YEARS!
I’m not a Democrat, but I think all these calls for Biden supporters to try to understand Trump supporters are premature & bullshit. The only things that should happen now are Biden supporters celebrating their win, and Trump supporters accepting their loss.

As a former conservative activist and journalist, it has been so frustrating to see my former compatriots spreading wild and unchecked claims about "voter fraud." @jacknicas of the NYT took a deep look at claims of "dead" people in Michigan voting. Link in next tweet.

Amen!
As a former lifelong Republican, allow me to be as respectful as possible: Fuck Trump, fuck his feelings, and fuck all these Republicans who, for four years, enabled Trump.

The Whitehousegiftshop.com is already selling a “Trump beats Covid” coin suggesting he ascended over and defeated it the early stages, even calling him a mythos. Very Interesting 🤔 #TrumpCovid #TrumpLiedPeopleDied
