One thing that galls me about the response from PALS is there's no pinpointing of the cause of my fracture, just a list of possible reasons. I would've expected, with such a serious injury, that people would want to know the exact cause, so steps could be taken to avoid a repeat.

I see that a small percentage of cyclists have decided the traffic closure on Oxford Street in London does not apply to them. I suggest a combination of fire hoses and attack dogs to stop them. Firm but fair.

The poppy isn't political. It never has been. It's a grandad who never came home. A young soldier who gave everything so we could live freely. A family still setting an empty place at the table. Wearing one is a quiet way of saying "we remember you." Turning someone away for wearing a poppy is an insult to every veteran, every fallen hero, and everyone serving today. Any business that turns people away for wearing a poppy should be boycotted, and deserves to go out of business for good. Not one penny of our money. Wear yours with pride. 🌺🙏❤️🇬🇧

A reminder as to why I am angry and still moaning on about what happened 7 months ago during a routine "Total Hip Replacement".

Spoke to a friend from Glasgow today who told me they had been referred to hospital dermatology by their GP - they called to check on progress and were told it was a 45 week waiting time.

Good to see our Muslim in Chiefs plan of a pedestrianised Oxford Street is exempt from @Deliveroo @UberEats E Bike riders from god knows where with no right to work in the UK. Well done Sadiq. W⚓
Cyclists are continuing to ride along the newly pedestrianised section of Oxford Street, despite being asked to dismount. Around seven security staff have been stationed near Oxford Circus, calling out to cyclists to get off their bikes, with mixed success. I've begged my elderly parents to move in with us. No downsize to a safer house. No. Move closer to us. No. Now Dad's in the hospital, Mom needs a ride home and someone to stay overnight, and I have to work tomorrow and get my kids ready for school. This was entirely preventable. I've offered every reasonable solution, and they've refused them all. Older generations, you cannot insist on doing everything your way and then expect your adult children to rearrange their lives to make it work…

#Bedford Clowncil now investigating a teddy bear cafe, run by a 12 year old. You couldn’t make this up. Maybe next time they could investigate the barbers & vape shops. Or is that too intimidating?
For those of you who thought the visit from a Bedford Borough Council official to investigate our daughter Zoe’s (age 12) pretend teddy bear cafe was too ridiculous to be real, here is the arrival of official. This is totally legit. She really did show up at our property to investigate the illegal teddy bears having their coffee🧸🧸☕️☕️

Just had a scam email that wasn't addressed to me directly, telling me my hardware wallet needed an immediate update. I thought this was strange because I didn't know what a hardware wallet was. Turns out it's something to do with crypto which I have NEVER used or dabbled in. But I'm sure some people might lose a lot of money if they fall for it. Be careful out there lovely people.

I asked the carer what it was she was contracted to do. She says ‘wash your body, get you dressed & make sure you take your medication.’ I told her that I’m managing those things on my own. I wasn’t rude as she’s doing her job but no-one told me what they would actually be doing.

I have an appointment with the Consultant who performed the hip replacement tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I think it will be a short meeting, he is well aware that I am very unhappy my femur was fractured, but I will tell him again anyway. ☹️

Wetherspoons has been completely infected by the woke left virus. Most of their staff and management are hard-left extremists who treat a simple poppy or an England shirt like some kind of threat. The people’s pub chain is turning on the very people who built this country. It’s disgusting.

I was in a Wetherspoons one year on November 11th at 11 oclock and the majority of the pub stood up at 11 to do the 2 minutes silence. Staff observed it too. I hope the owner sorts that gobshite out in Gosport. (I usually go to the Cenotaph but it was off that year)

1. I'm now in the courtroom at Southwark Crown Court for the trial of Tommy Robinson. I am here, to my own surprise, because until Thursday I was banned from the UK by the Home Office! I received a visa on Thursday, so I'm here to live-tweet.

Visa Officer: “Why do you want to travel to the United States?” Applicant: “My daughter is graduating from college. She’s been asking me to come for two years.” Visa Officer: “How long do you plan to stay?” Applicant: “Ten days. I have a business to return to.” Visa Officer: “Who is paying for the trip?” Applicant: “I am.” Visa Officer: “Your daughter sent you money last month. What was that for?” Applicant: “She helped me pay for the flight.” Visa Officer: “You just said you’re paying for the trip.” Applicant: “I am paying for the hotel and my other expenses. She offered to help with the ticket.” The officer looked at the documents again. Visa Officer: “If your daughter can afford to help you travel, why can’t she pay for the entire trip?” Applicant: “Because I didn’t raise her to be responsible for every expense I have.” The officer stopped typing……

A mate of mine is an electrician and he flat out refuses to do any work for Indians now. He’s says he’s fed up agreeing a price with them for a job then after the work is done they argue over the invoice.

The lad who manages that Weatherspoon pub “The Star” in Gosport, and who banned people wearing poppies is sadly typical of so many others. The product of woke politicians, media, police and teachers who have indoctrinated him and so many others to lose sight of the fact that some things are above politics, contribute to who we are, represent our values, and must be protected. They have been taught that those who choose to take offence at things like the poppy have a right to be offended, and that the rest of us who say “Tough, it’s ours, it is important and we will never give in are the problem. No. We are not. The poppy is not political. The poppy is a unifying symbol of national Remembrance and if you don’t like it, damn well lump it. You are not a part of this, my nation. 🇬🇧🌺 Courage and Honour stand where Heroes fall.
