Kinda hard to join in on the libbing out when Washington just threw trans girls under the bus for no fucking reason.

What kills me about all of this shit with Abdul al-Sayed is that he's basically Buttigieg but more visibly Arab and vocally anti Israel. And that turned him into some kind of radical socialist both in the eyes of the Dem/Rep establishment but also DSA types. Weird as hell.

Bram Stoker's Dracula presented by Francis Ford Coppola is orientalist because he presents reincarnation as real. Also Mina is reading 1000 Arabian Nights.

Been seeing too much Jonathan Harker slander on the TL as of late. Just because adaptations underutilize how important Mina is doesn't mean you have to act like Jonathan was a non entity when it comes to Vampire slaying.

Wow yet another The Wire actor showing up in the Walking Dead.

International oomfs please share and amplify to raise awareness about how UK-based organizations of JK Rowling’s movement are attempting to internationally force a rollback of already barely existent trans rights in India

Rick Grimes gotta be the Sweatiest man in the history of TV

Truly disgusting that Dems are willing to compromise on Trans rights but are completely animated against Palestinian rights. A hateful party that deserves to die.

This reminds me of a coworker I had at OG that loved the parts of the Sopranos where Tony was being a "badass" and didn't understand the importance of all of the "therapy bullshit"
Just rewatched Dune and MAN, I forgot how much of a drag Chani is. Just scene after scene of pouting and scowling while Paul unites her people and heroically leads them to victory over the outworlders that have plagued them for centuries. Truly the wettest of blankets.

In high school I couldn't take AP Chem because the only available teacher wasn't comfortable enough with math so we had "advanced" chemistry. Best part of that class was blasting nerf balls out of a potato gun and a joint class with the mechanics that was a big thermite reaxn

On the whole the class sucked though because in addition to being bad at math she was also a bad teacher in general and a super reactionary Mormon.

I think something that we lose when we're talking about Boomers being terrible is how catastrophically bad their parents were at raising them. Grandpa and grandma were terrible and we really need to grapple with that.

Disagree but love: Falling Down Agree but hate: Attack of the Clones
Challenge: Name one piece of media that you like but has a political/social message that you disagree with. Then name a piece of media that you dislike but has a message you *do* agree with.

Watching The Mist for the first time and clocked three actors from The Walking Dead. Hell of a coincidence.

Kinda disappointed that Alchemy doesn't have as many shooters as Astrology.

Kinda weird hearing a K-Ci and Jo Jo song during a cheerios commercial.

Damn, didn't realize they were still making antisemitic anarchists. Kropotkin's legacy lives I guess

After thinking about bit about it, Burning Down the House is basically David Byrne's version of High Voltage.
I once heard a Talking Heads rendition of the AC/DC song “High Voltage” in a dream and I’m still upset I will never hear it again
