This weekend we completed the 5th module of the 11th class of the Official SBM Oncoplastic and Breast Reconstruction Course at Araújo Jorge Cancer Hospital.
The program included lectures and 9 live reconstructive surgeries, with participants from 5 continents.

In a retrospective cohort matched by age and surgery date, extreme oncoplasty showed oncologic safety comparable to mastectomy with reconstruction, with fewer surgeries, fewer complications, better aesthetic outcomes, and greater patient satisfaction. doi.org/10.1002/jso.70372
