فريق طبي جراحي بقيادة الدكتورة سهى كعكي استشاري جراحة الصدر والمريء في #المدينة_الطبية_الجامعية والأستاذ المشارك في كلية الطب بـ #جامعة_الملك_سعود يجري عملية جراحية ناجحة عن بعد لمريضة عانت لعدة سنوات من أعراض الارتجاع الحمضي المزمن للمريء، وهذه العملية هي السابعة عشر ضمن برنامج الجراحة الروبوتية عن بُعد بالتنسيق مع مستشفى الصحة الافتراضي في إنجاز يعكس كفاءة البرنامج واستدامته، ويؤكد ريادة المدينة الطبية الجامعية في تبنّي تقنيات الجراحة المستقبلية.
Robotic Surgery Society (RSS) of Saudi Arabia and Saudi General Surgery Society ( SGSS) were proud to send a delegation to the MINT 2026 Course & Observership (Minimally Invasive and Novel Therapeutics) in Boston, 9–14 August 2026, hosted by faculty from Harvard Medical School.
Over six days, our surgical residents scrubbed into the operating rooms of Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, trained hands-on in robotic surgery, and stood in the historic MGH Ether Dome — the room where modern surgical anesthesia began in 1846.
A significant milestone was reached with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Robotic Surgery Society (RSS) of Saudi Arabia and the Minimally Invasive and Novel Therapeutics (MINT) group of the Harvard Medical School faculty.

Following a highly rewarding conference, where I had the privilege of presenting, moderating, and sharing the Saudi experience in robotic surgery, we concluded on a significant milestone: the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Robotic Surgery Society of Saudi Arabia @rss_org_sa and the Minimally Invasive and Novel Therapeutics (MINT) group of the Harvard Medical School faculty.
This collaboration marks an important step toward strengthening the exchange of academic and clinical expertise between Saudi Arabia and a distinguished group of leaders in robotic surgery in the United States—fostering knowledge, innovation, and meaningful international collaboration.
