It was an honor to work in your press box, Lawrence. Build the statue.

Once upon a time I actually wanted to visit Cooperstown and viewed it as baseball Mecca. All past tense now. YouTube will be where I teach the next generation about baseball history.

OTD in 2002, @Kenny_Lofton7 sent the @SFGiants to the World Series with a #walkoff single. Will there be more magic in San Francisco tonight?

God this just keeps getting better: - Astros cheat and beat LA in the World Series - Red Sox cheat and beat LA in the World Series - Dodgers pitcher tries to get revenge and ends up being suspended for a huge chunk of the season Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
This was phenomenal. Baseball is the best, and I miss it so much.

If you're missing baseball, watch this.

The internet is killing it this week. This is close to the top of my list.

Arkansas paid $1.5 million to San Jose State today and lost. Makes it highest losing payday this year, topping Eastern Michigan's win over Illinois last week. EMU got $1 million for the trouble.
Look at those Spartans. #SJSU

Sources: #SFGiants interested in #Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi for president of baseball operations role. Unclear if the scenario is viable, but this could explain slower pace of Giants search in comparison to #Mets. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Barack Obama

Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.

Nick must have pushed all the right buttons. Good for him.

Yasiel Puig (via interpreter): “(Hundley) told me to stop complaining and step back in the box ... he just kept coming after me and kept complaining. I wasn’t going to let them disrespect our house.”
