The #plastic sector is aware of the climate challenge, the industry is challenging itself to deliver on circularity. Scale, technology, bio feedstocks and regulation are key ingredients to implement affordable circularity. #gocircular2023 advancing #sustainabletransformation
Advanced #recycling of PLA #bioplastics creates rPLA with the same certifications of virgin #PLA + hydrolysis uses significantly less energy than pyrolysis. Sorting solutions are there, it’s time for incremental adoption!
PLA is the plastic low carbon solution #GoCircular2023
“60% of plastic packaging waste is sent outside Europe” & “Over 40% of our #carbonfootprint comes from #packaging” - from LCAs to advanced recycling, supply chain partnerships and innovative solutions for new materials, such as #PLA #bioplastics, progress happens #gocircular2023
#gocircular2023 morning take away - #circulareconomy + reduction of resource consumption are needed for a healthy planet. #PPWR @circleeconomy @Globuc_Events @planettracker_ @tomra @borealis
In the age of #plastics - where plastics enable #technology to be available to many, and thus #Democracy - how do we make #plastics a circular material? That’s what I look forward to learn about at #gocircular2023 #PLA #bioplastics #circulareconomy
Unfortunately the worlds circularity went down from 9.1% in 2018 to 7.2% in 2023. @circleeconomy #gocircular2023
#Packaging makes our food last longer, saving resources, and prevents illness transmission - finding a way to do it sustainably is essential.
To celebrate #WorldPackagingDay we invite you to meet us at #interpack2023 and discover how Luminy® #PLA can reduce your package carbon footprint in 75%, be composted and recycled to again become Luminy® PLA.
