St. John's outrebounded Texas by five and was plus-22 in points in the paint against one of the bigger team they'll see all year. #sjubb
FINAL: St. John's 87, Texas 74
The Red Storm put on a very encouraging showing against a top-ten team in their final exhibition and finish 3-0 in preseason play.
Johnnies officially open their season versus Monmouth on Monday, November 2 (6:30 p.m., ESPN+).

Keyshawn Hall is a matchup problem. He now has a team-high 20 points (7-of-11 FG) and is giving Texas fits when he goes downhill.
St. John’s up 73-57 with 6:40 to go in the second half.

For as well as St. John’s is playing, they need to clean up the fouls inside. Bailey, Prey, and Edema all have at least three fouls.

Theo Edema is still very raw and he's making an impact on the defensive end. He's got a block and a steal in just six minutes of play so far. There's no doubt his role is only going to grow through this season.

HALF: St. John's 49, Texas 31
This Johnnies team looks unrecognizable from the one that showed up vs. Rutgers. Offensive execution is so much better and they are swarming on defense.
Tounde Yessoufou leads with 16 points and is one of three players in double-figures.
