The 2026 State of AI Compute Fall report is live.
We analyzed what 1M+ Runpod developers ran: model precision, open + frontier stacks, agent-provisioned infrastructure, GPU demand, and the supply calls we got right and wrong.

Q3 on Runpod took more of the work of scaling off your plate.
Batch inference on Serverless, storage that isn’t pinned to one datacenter, clusters that grow in place and Organizations for company-wide access and spend.

Open Source Films is making a feature film with an entirely open-source, AI-assisted VFX pipeline.
The entire pipeline behind it all runs on Runpod Pods.

Whoa now... we just made @LinkedIn's Top Startups 2026 list.
This isn't one you can apply for. We were one of 50 companies chosen based on our hiring momentum, talent quality, and job seeker interest.
One team, one dream. Thank you to the folks making this happen every day.

Startups usually compare GPU clusters on the per-GPU hourly rate.
But a large part of the bill comes from somewhere else.
Our team just wrote a guide on what to watch out for:

AI infrastructure doesn’t scale cleanly.
When you size to peak, you pay for idle GPUs throughout the quarter. Size to average and your launch day gets throttled.
Companies we speak with say it’s because of two things:
- Their demand forecast is wrong in both directions.
- And idle GPUs bill the same as the ones that are in use.
So we structured Runpod Enterprise around that reality: a reserved baseline at committed rates, with burst for the part you can’t forecast.
Because launch day isn’t the day that you want to test your infrastructure.
Check out the details of our new Enterprise program here:

Fine-tuning is excellent at style, but it’s unreliable for facts.
Which is why the best results come from combining the two: training for the voice, prompting for the facts.

DeepSeek’s share of OpenRouter token volume doubled from 9% in January to 18% in June 2026.
That measures combined input and output tokens, not requests or task completion. Price alone does not tell you what a workload costs.

We have a new community template on Runpod: Decision 2.0 for Serverless.
You just send a question and get back a probability or a structured choice. Zero output tokens spent.

Migrating an AI pipeline usually means rewriting it. But for a codebase that’s been running since 2021, that’s not an option.
So Botto took a different path.

Global Volumes are in beta for Runpod Serverless.
Store model weights once, and your workers can start in any data center with your GPU types.
It mounts at /runpod-volume like a network volume, so existing handlers run without code changes.

Hybrid stacks are common on Runpod:
80% of Pods that reference a frontier model also run open weights or a local serving stack.
The data doesn’t show how traffic is divided. It does show that many teams build with both in the same environment.
