Russia is trying to achieve through terror against civilians what it cannot achieve on the battlefield- a calculated campaign to make civilian life unbearable for Ukrainian people. And this is a direct definition of a genocide.
@andrii_sybiha is so right.
Russia’s brutality knows no limits. Overnight, Russia once again launched ballistic missiles and drones against Ukraine, targeting critical energy infrastructure.
Moscow is deliberately seeking to leave millions of Ukrainians without electricity, heating, and water as winter approaches.
Russia is trying to achieve through cold and darkness what it cannot achieve on the battlefield. This is a calculated campaign to make civilian life unbearable for the Ukrainian nation — and this is a direct definition of a genocide.
Together with our partners, we have the means to stop this deliberate terror. What Ukraine needs now is more air defense systems, more interceptors, and the political will to deliver them without delay.

Overnight, the enemy again targeted the energy sector across several regions. Generating equipment and main substations were damaged, including in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Rivne regions.
Emergency crews have been working since the early hours, and restoration is ongoing.
Russia also struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles. A kindergarten was partially destroyed, and apartment buildings, the Pivnichnyi Bridge, a trolleybus line, power lines and a hot water main were damaged.
Nine people were injured across the country in the Russian attack, including a child.
I thank the rescuers, police officers, medics, energy workers and everyone who is helping people and dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

When we have meetings at the level of the negotiating teams – trilateral, bilateral, doesn’t matter – different sides say that we need time to prepare a ceasefire. They say monitoring is difficult, we need to pull back the weapons, and Ukraine has to make a buffer zone.
The ceasefire in Oleshky showed – no. We don’t have to. Warfare is different technologically now. One can monitor by drones. You will have evidence of violations, actual videos. I always said that it all comes down to Putin's political will. As we saw, the decision on the Oleshky ceasefire was made expeditiously. And it worked. I hope that we will find a way to push Putin to peace. We can do it with U.S. mediation.

We fight for freedom and die for freedom. Words are important. Words from the United States – the biggest supporter of freedom – are important. Support is important. If the words against Putin and his aggression are strong, if a support package for Ukraine is strong, Putin will think twice, three times, ten times about whether he wants to attack or maybe this war has been enough for him.
I always tried to make this point to the American President, with all due gratitude to him and his team: Putin respects only a strong position. Even from the enemy, but a strong position. We cannot end this war saying good things about him. We see it – the war is in its fifth year now.

The idea of discussing European-Russian security infrastructure is not simple, and it can be dangerous. I was very clear with all our partners: I think that first we have to discuss how to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. Secondly, what the security infrastructure will look like for Ukraine. What security guarantees will Ukraine have? And then, depending on these answers, the sides can discuss the security infrastructure between Europe – or between the EU – and Russia.
It’s dangerous when Russia wants to begin these discussions with a new security infrastructure in Europe. By the by, it's even more dangerous for the EU. We are not a member of the EU. We are not a member of NATO either. I am not trying to speak on their behalf. We all live in Europe. We don't want to have “Yalta 2.0.” We don't want to be divided by Russia.

Iskanders aren’t laughing
The past day was a hot one for the occupiers. On 6 November and during the night of 7 November, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit a number of important targets on the territory of russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Good news came from Bryansk Oblast, where two Iskander operational-tactical missile system (OTRK) launchers were hit. The extent of the damage is still being clarified, but the significance of this strike is already clear. Every Iskander launcher put out of action reduces the russian army’s ability to carry out ballistic missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.
Also in Bryansk Oblast, a Pantsir-S1 air defence missile-gun system came under fire – one of those meant to protect russian facilities from the air.
The occupiers did not escape “logistics losses” in Luhansk Oblast either, where russian materiel and supply depots were hit in the areas of Sokolohirsk and Zaaidarivka. And in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in the Novobohdanivka area, a concentration of enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators was struck.
Operations against the enemy’s key military targets will continue until russia completely ceases its armed aggression against Ukraine.
To be continued 💥

Kushner's post on European security would be appropriate for the late Cold War period. It looks like he copy-pasted from the Helsinki Accords and the Charta of Paris. But we live in different times, and Kushner clearly has no idea how to address today's challenges.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace.
Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions.
For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace.
Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment.
We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability.
Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments.
We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations.
Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation.
These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace.
This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking.
We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Russia is preparing for trilateral talks by launching ballistic missiles at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Repair and rescue operations are underway in the affected regions wherever the security situation allows. In total, the Russians used 172 drones and 36 ballistic missiles, with all the missiles aimed at Kyiv and the surrounding region. Energy infrastructure was once again the main target. The capital is facing serious difficulties with its electricity, water, and heat supplies. Residential buildings and the Northern Bridge were damaged. A kindergarten was partially destroyed. In the Kyiv region, a substation connecting the Rivne and Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plants to Kyiv and Ukraine’s central regions was hit. Substations were also damaged in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Dnipro regions. In addition to Kyiv, twelve other regions came under attack. Nine people were injured, including one child.
I thank all our people who defend the country against this terror every day, work to restore what has been damaged, and do everything they can to get Ukraine through the winter. But when Russia is trying to plunge Kyiv – a city of millions – and the entire country into a blackout, Ukraine must not be left alone. We are counting on increased bilateral support from the United States. We are counting on the U.S. Congress to give more attention to Ukraine, because Russia keeps increasing the number of its attacks. It is important that support for Ukraine remains among the priorities of U.S. policy. We are counting on both parties to stand united on matters of security, support for Ukraine, condemnation of Russian aggression, and increased sanctions pressure on Putin. America’s resolve and consistency in supporting Ukraine are crucial in bringing peace closer.
