#EnergyTwitter SF happy hour at Gotts (Ferry Building) 5pm next Monday 14th, reply or DM if attending. Some of us Google Climate team folks in town, and though I don't live in SF anymore, I sure enjoy a good meetup.

It's 3:45pm on a Thursday afternoon and traffic on 80 is still crawling. Imagine how much worse it'll be if BART has to slash service, forcing thousands more cars onto the road. Help @GavinNewsom get the message by calling (916) 445-2841 & signing at savecaliforniatransit.org/

I had to add an extra level, H, to account for how idiotic it would be to make clean hydrogen, stick it in the gas grid, and immediately use it to generate power. Even high-temperature industrial heat will only be an E or F when I eventually publish an update to the ladder.

PUC/PSC races. We are on the front lines of deciding how much renewable energy is on the grid. All those nonprofits that foundations fund? Their time is spent advocating or intervening with decision makers like commissioners. Yet, climate change candidates get little $$ support.

Analysis by @WorldResources shows how essential #BuildBackBetter will be to put us on a path toward reducing global emissions & to achieve the science-based #climate targets set by the @IPCC_CH. Still, more measures will be necessary to reach net-zero. ➡️wri.org/insights/build-back-…
West Virginians were back today at @Sen_JoeManchin's Charleston office rallying around good for WV policies in #BuildBackBetter, like the black lung excise tax, child tax credit, clean energy jobs, & safe water infrastructure. Watch the speakers here: fb.watch/a29Fah41sy/
