10 - Croix Bethune's assist to Rocky Rodriguez for @thekccurrent's winner Friday was the 10th time she has provided the assist on a match-winning goal in her #NWSL career, four more than any other player since she joined the league in 2024.
Key.

Itala Gemelli's journey to the NWSL is a great example of how a development pathway can work
- Finishes a strong NCAA career in 2024
- Enters a very uncertain pro landscape following the elimination of the NWSL Draft
- Spends time in the @thekccurrent development system
- Excels with @thekccurrentII
- Earns her first professional contract with KC Current -- the 2025 NWSL Shield winners
- And last night, she made her first pro start in the world's top league -- playing 90 minutes and helping KC pick up the win on the road
Really proud of Itala for staying with it and earning every step. Credit to @AngieKLong1, @cdlong97, @ryandell, and the KC staff for creating a pathway that gave her the opportunity to do it
From @thekccurrentII to her @NWSL debut, all in one season.

The K.C. Current plan to increase the capacity of CPKC Stadium to 18,000.
The project would add roughly 6,500 seats as the club continues to expand the venue, per @Forbes.

Today, KC Current presented expansion plans for CPKC Stadium to the KCMO City Council.
As demand for KC Current matches, events and riverfront development continues to grow, outpacing even our initial high expectations, so does the need to expand and improve infrastructure around the stadium - including increased stadium capacity to 18,000; a dedicated transient parking garage; and core riverfront infrastructure that will better serve fans, residents, families and the broader KC community.
What stands today as CPKC Stadium on the riverfront is more than a stadium. It is proof of what KC can accomplish when a community comes together around bold ideas and a shared vision for the future.
We cannot wait to build the next chapter together 🙌
