I was interviewed for this, and am disappointed. The "150" number is very curated. VFA has placed ~1k fellows at startups which have created thousands of jobs. ~200 alums started their own companies. Mine employs ~30. There are valid critiques to explore, but this is shoddy.
Andrew Yang promised to create 100,000 jobs. He ended up with 150. nyti.ms/3td4d4U
RE: equity, that's something VFA has put considerable energy into. Early on, there were challenges driven by an ivy league talent pool (disproportionately white ?+ high income) but by 2017 it was being addressed. Still work to be done, but lots of progress since then.
