only for you

I love these few seconds of Merlin: the exchange of cold stares with Mordred, his resentment toward Arthur for not listening to him, and—fantastic!—the way he just wants to kill the man who dared to strike his King! #merlinbbc

Please, look at Merlin’s face the moment he catches sight of Mordred... He turns ashen, frozen—as if he has slipped once again into the vision that has been upsetting him for days. From now on, he will never be the same. Nothing will ever be the same #merlinbbc

Ah, that natural death wish that characterizes Merthur! Whenever it comes to protecting one another—a trait that has yet to grow tiresome ( like anything else about the two of them, actually) One of the reasons we love them so much #merlinbbc

Two things two: - Merlin is the most powerful sorcerer on Earth, but his brain goes haywire when he’s hungry - Arthur is the most powerful warrior in Albion, but he ends up trapped because he can’t bear the thought of not protect his servant 😅 #merlinbbc

I don’t know why I find this moment so fascinating. Arthur’s gesture is appropriate—Merlin isn’t very good at staying quiet—but it’s longer, as if it were normal; in some way, it becomes intimate (as is often the case with their physical contact) #merlinbbc

Merlin and Arthur did not know everything about each other, and yet they knew one another. They did not need to know, because together they are one #merlinbbc

The contrast between Arthur, who just wants to rest, and Merlin, who desperately wants to warn him of the danger. The urgent need to speak. The final promise to protect him with his very being—a promise that will become his obsession... #merlinbbc

In Season 5, Merlin— Emrys, now—is, partly driven by his visions, much more possessive when it comes to Arthur. Phrases like "I worry about you" and "I will protect you" come to his lips more easily, strong in his significance of his role in Arthur’s life #merlinbbc

- the softness with which Arthur calls "Merlin" - their mutual concern - the intense gazes that speak volumes, worth a thousand unspoken words - the haunting music Everything is PERFECT (I read once that in the script, Arthur says "Merlin, it's cold here") #merlinbbc
