#tbt 14 years ago I was a volunteer at USC University Hospital, cautiously dreaming about walking around that building as a real doctor. Sorry it took a few days but it's starting to hit me that I MATCHED @USC_IR. WHAT. @USC_Rads #match2020 #irad #radres #womeninIR
This will likely happen once in my lifetime - I got to witness @MVictoriaMarxMD receiving the @SIRspecialists Gold Medal at #SIRBOS22 Congrats Dr. Marx, I would be lucky to be half as great as you are @USC_IR

I remember discussing "moral distress" a lot in nursing school. They made it sound as simple as you're presented with a patient who maybe doesn't want blood but they need it to survive, or your patient has a different set of beliefs than you do.
It isn't actually that simple. 1/
I cannot overstate how much these 3 women have impacted my life and career. This is a really powerful pic for me.

Recognizing that many lectures have been affected by COVID-19, SIR Graduate Medical Education has created an education resources page to provide access to RFS webinars, presentations from past annual meetings, #IRad podcasts and more for @SIRRFS members. buff.ly/2XkpxJC
This Bach suite and the Swan by Saint Saens were the last two pieces I ever played before I laid my bow down and never picked it up again. Must have been over a decade ago. And now they show up on my feed as a 1-2 punch. #SongsOfComfort indeed. I’m not crying you’re crying.
This music has been with me for 60 years. It's seen me through times of stress, loss, joy, and transition. It's connected me to others all over the world and helped me to understand life in new ways.
Bach: Prelude to Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major #songsofcomfort
Med school is a marathon where the focus constantly shifts. Focus on the current stage and don’t dwell on what’s in the past or what’s to come. Eg don’t fret about third year clinical rotations when you could be studying for basic science exam.
what is your best advice for an incoming MS1? #medtwitter #MedStudentTwitter
The goal posts constantly move and that’s a good thing. What your histo lecturer cares about won’t even be in the same universe as what your future OBGYN attending cares about. Keep your head down and take it one computer-based exam at a time.

Amid #COVID19, @NYUImaging has launched Family Connect, created by @KHochmanMD. A team of 60+ radiology volunteers, led by @MylesTaffel , are teaming w/med students to provide daily calls to update families, who are unable to visit their loved ones in the hospital.

I will forever be grateful that I interviewed for radiology at @NYUImaging, where a tour of campus with dept chair Dr. Recht is really a TED talk in disguise where you get to glimpse the mind of a genius @NYURadRes @nyulangone
Proud to be an @NYUImaging faculty volunteer for our Family Connect Service ! Check out this article on how our department is responding to the COVID crisis.
