SOMETIMES, HEALING TAKES MUCH LONGER THAN WE EVER IMAGINED.
When we rescue an injured or suffering dog, we often hope that a few weeks of treatment, medicines and proper care will be enough to help them recover.
But the reality is sometimes very different. 💔
A wound we thought would heal in two weeks can take five months or even longer.
One of our rescued dogs has been undergoing treatment for a serious skin-related condition for almost six months now.
Six months of regular medicines, skin care, nutritious meals, monitoring and endless patience.
There have been days when we hoped he was finally getting better, only to realise that his recovery still had a long way to go.
Thankfully, we are now seeing encouraging signs of improvement. His skin is gradually healing, but he is still far from a complete recovery. ❤️
Sometimes, it is emotionally exhausting to see an innocent soul suffer for so long despite all the efforts being made.
But we cannot give up on him simply because his healing is taking longer than expected.
These innocent souls don't understand timelines. They only know the comfort of being cared for and the relief that treatment brings.
Whether it takes two weeks, six months or even longer, we will continue doing everything possible to help him recover.
Because every small improvement matters. Every wound that begins to heal gives us hope. And every life deserves patience, compassion and a chance to recover.
Healing is not always quick, but no innocent soul should be abandoned because recovery takes time. ❤️
