A Halloween Happy Ever After! 🎃 This Halloween we're coming at you with a wonderful story shared by a SASH Host. A former SASH Young Person is getting married today. They reached out to their Host that they stayed with when they were in SASH and asked her if she'd carve and personalise some pumpkins for their Halloween wedding. #Halloween #Halloween2024 #Wedding

This week’s SASH Star Supporter is a dog called Sierra who would have been turning 5 today. Sierra’s owner, Hannah, joined the SASH fundraising team back at the start of October. Sadly, Sierra passed away suddenly during Hannah’s first week with us. In honour of the wonderful Sierra and to celebrate her life, Hannah set up a SASH fundraiser on Just Giving where she raised £700 for us! Hannah said “She was the most incredible dog who loved people. You may have spotted on the @BBCBreaking yesterday the unveiling of the new installation of Long Boi. @UniOfYork with the help of @gregjames organised a final send off for Long Boi who passed away last year and have now installed a statue on the York University campus so his presence can live on! One of the SASH offices is actually located at the Science Park at the University of York so we are looking forward to going onto campus next week to check out the wonderful Long Boi statue for ourselves!
