As we head into 2024. We look back at the year that was. The highlight for us at MGD1 was certainly pulling off Chennai Grand Masters chess tournament.
While we were planning a Super GM tournament for quite sometime but we didn't know we would end up putting it together with so many hurdles and lack of time.
Glad that it was a successful tournament and we were able to provide our youngsters a fair opportunity in turn a shot at the candidates.
Fills our heart with Pride that 5 Indians ( 3 men and 2 women) are now in candidates and that we were able to play a small part in it.
Here at MGD1 we aspire to make these tournaments an annual affair. We want to fill in the gap that exists in Indian chess.
Here's to next year and more such tournaments in 2024.
