π Can I Still Hack It? - VulnBank Home Lab
Today I practiced Privilege Escalation in my authorized VulnBank lab.
πΉ Vertical Privilege Escalation
I inspected a JWT, identified the "isadmin=false" claim, modified it
Day81 #200daysChallenge with @mr_kay7
Completed an authorized Black-Box Penetration Test π
The assessment covered:
β’ Initial Access
β’ File Exfiltration
β’ PDF password cracking to assess exposure of PHI
β’ Post-Exploitation: testing access to staff salary & shareholder data

π MILESTONE CELEBRATION | HACKMINDS LINUX CHALLENGE
I just completed the #HACKMINDS Linux Challenge and am so pleased to have scored 96/100! π
In this challenge, I worked with a directory named "HACKMINDS",

Another Milestone π―π―
In February, I was VULNERABLE. Today, I'm celebrating my growth as a Security Analyst! ππ
I'm excited to announce that I've successfully completed my first Cybersecurity Internship with NetworkWalks,
This simulation with my fellow #HACKMINDERS has greatly boosted my confidence in operating Linux commands independently, without help or assistance.
Beyond the score, this is a testament to my growth, hands-on learning, and commitment to
improving my technical skills in cybersecurity.
This is a milestone worth celebrating! π
We keep learning, practicing, teaching, and growing together.
Thank you, @HACKMINDSHQ, for creating this opportunity.

Today, I worked on a HackerOne CTF challenge involving Blind SQL Injection and discovered SQLmap! ππ₯
Using a saved raw HTTP request and a single command, I automated SQL injection testing and retrieved the credentials needed to
earning recognition and certification.
From learning to identifying vulnerabilities, understanding security threats, and developing an analyst's mindset, the journey has been challenging but rewarding.
Special thanks to @networkwalks for the knowledge, guidance, and opportunity.
Above all, it can only be God! π
Join in my joy. This is just the beginning! π

Learning "curl" in Kali Linux π
Today, I learned how to use the "curl" command to interact with websites, send requests, and retrieve responses, including HTML content.
I also practised several useful "curl" options:
solve the challenge.
"sqlmap -r req.txt --force-ssl --dbms=mysql --level=2 --risk=1 --dump"
This experience showed me the power of automation in penetration testing. Another tool added to my pentesting belt! π οΈπ»

In today's Kali Linux command practice during my TechBiz Internship, I learnt something new that I believe will stay with me for as long as ethical hacking and Linux exist. π§π»
πΉ "-d" - Sends data in the request body, commonly used for form submissions and POST requests.
πΉ "-e" β Sets the Referer header to a specified URL.
πΉ "-X POST" β Explicitly specifies the HTTP POST method.
Todayβs practical session helped me understand what these options
mean and how they work. I am gradually building my confidence in using command-line tools for web application and API testing.
Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, practise it, and become better than I was yesterday! π

another or rename a file. For example:
"mv rents.txt rent.txt"
This renames "rents.txt" to "rent.txt" in the same directory.
These may look like simple commands, but understanding them is another step forward in my Linux and ethical hacking journey.
Every expert starts by mastering the basics, one command at a time.
I'm learning, practising, and growing! π

I learned how the SQL SUBSTRING() function can help retrieve an administrator's password one character at a time by testing the application's
journey. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow.
I'm not stopping here. More learning, more practice, and more growth ahead! π
