As a Christian, I'll vote for a third-party candidate. I have decided that this person with a 100% chance of losing is morally superior than the others — a reputation based solely off of whichever stories have managed to make the news.
Will this vote bring about changes I'd like for myself and my neighbor? No. Will it make me feel good? Not after a couple of weeks. But will I at least help to change our entrenched two-party system? Also no.
I hope the lesson we all take from this is that everyone should focus on making energy drastically cheaper.

A few quick thoughts.
1. The most important issues were Iran and corruption.
The corruption one is less discussed but it is ultimately more important. Corruption was guaranteed to torpedo both the populist coalition Trump built and the nationalist program he ran on.
You can watch academics and lawyers debate politics to get a sense of the difference between knowledge and wisdom.
Trump didn’t kill the pro-life movement. They were the dog that caught the car. Absolutely zero idea of how to persuade voters.

Pope Leo XIV on All Souls’ Day: “Woe to those who die in mortal sin.”
“On the 8th centenary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, we naturally recall the beatitude he added to the Canticle of the Creatures, when he realised that his end was near;
“Praised be you, my lord, through our sister bodily death from whom no one living can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin. Blessed are those who she will find in your most Holy Will, for the second death, will do them no harm.”
Dear brothers and sisters, faith in Christ tells us that our bond, with a faithful departed, is not broken, but transformed.
Through our prayers for the repose of their souls we accompany our loved ones towards full communion with the Lord, that communion of which we already have a true foretaste here in the sacrament of the Eucharist.”

He was charged with intoxication manslaughter, which carries up to 20 years in prison. A judge revoked his bond twice while the case was pending, and both times he was back out within two weeks.
On Monday he got 10 years of probation, community service, and $535 in fees.
Five boys have lost their father, and the man who killed him just had to pay a small fine and promise not do it again before going back home.
Mind numbing slogans like “the future is dialogue” (+Zuppi) and “diversity is our strength” are what you say when you don’t want to do anything, or recognize, intractable social problems.
An illegal alien from Ethiopia "violated our Nation's immigration laws, abused our immigration system, and perverted the writ of habeas corpus. Unfortunately, the district court rewarded his efforts" and now he walks free. Judge Oldham, respecting dismissal of the case.
Hats off to the USCCB “faith before politics” campaign. Humbled to learn that I need to follow Jesus by supporting unconstitutional gun control measures.
