They will be tried in crown court in front of a jury. Legal costs are punishingly high, even with legal aid, and the actionists are teachers, community workers and volunteers.

The actionists were arrested and remanded in custody for 44hrs and charged with criminal damage (estimated at a grossly inflated £38k by Allianz) for spraying water-soluble paint across the front of the building, as well as aggravated trespass and locking on.

These activists were driven to direct action in protest of Allianz investments in and insuring of Elbit Systems, a weapons manufacturer profiting from providing 70% of the drones and land fleet being used by Israel to commit genocide in Palestine.
