It’s been like two months ever since I included “Do not ghost the commissioner” in my terms. I really want to remain oblivious to clients who love ghosting, but it’s just disheartening to see that we’re being inboxed/seen after entertaining inquiries. What’s even more frustrating is the fact that some clients inquire at the crack of the night—twelve in the morning or even three o’clock pa ng umaga—then ghost us after and not even inform us that they won’t push through. That is done despite the fact that we are waiting for their responses during the time that we should be resting as well. One more instance is when the client assures us that they’ll push through but disappears completely right when we have already given our payment/bank details. It’s just plain disrespectful to secure a slot—only to be met with silence—when, in fact, we could’ve given the slot to other clients who wanted to avail our services. I know you are not obligated to certain matters such as responding with grace, but compassion and respect are free. The two-way transaction works on both ends. Please refrain from ghosting us.
