Stopped by the old ball field in Charleston today. They’ve made some upgrades, especially the “professional turf” is quite the upgrade from the rocks and ruts of my youth. 😂 Sat there for 10 or 15 minutes with my wife as the years and memories washed over me. Spent 8 or so years in that complex on one field or another growing up from Little League to High School.
Remembering home runs, no hitters, All-Star games and dreaming.
