We're a band. I'm just tweeting as Mr. Ditkovich until we've got a new record to promote.

The "apolitical nihilism" line is obviously under-informed, but it also speaks to the ugly compulsion to 'find' politics in personal work. The band expresses themselves in music. The politics come in the form of giving money to causes members care about. xitter.cf/washingtonpost/status/…
Turnstile is, in 2026, the world’s biggest hardcore punk band by almost any measure. Despite announcing the Washington Monument show two weeks earlier, organizers estimated that the benefit concert drew around 60,000 people. wapo.st/3VUeFTc

I don't know who Slayyter is outside of a musician of some type (I presume the type that dances) but am I to understand she's being cancelled for shit she said at 15? Is anyone online equipped to handle life in the outside world?

I see someone post something like their best/worst movie list and think, "why would anyone, anywhere, ever, care about your opinion on movies?" and then I apply it to my own life and post less.

I think Mulder needed a more self-directed profession. He's stifled by the narrowness of his superiors and should've pursued entrepreneurship.

Rachel Dolezal is one of the most high agency people to have ever lived. The ultimate individual. Someone Ayn Rand would have come up with in the midst of amphetamine induced mania had she been a better writer

When I see people on social media post screenshots of conversations to own the other party, the other party always wins. Because airing out the specifics of a private conversation makes you the most untrustworthy type of clout goblin.

I see tweets to the effect of "do y'all really not read any theory, like???" and the answer is confirmed no I don't read any theory.

Hope you people like the title track from Lyburnum Wits End Liberation Fly, because my band handed me an album worth of songs like that. There is no singing. Yelps, hollers, and whispers only.

Very impressed with my band writing a song that is impossible to sing over. They said it couldn't be done. Musicologists and guys with 23-string guitars claimed it was impossible. But they did it.

Could anyone familiar with the music this band makes tell me if I'm sassy? I'm in the studio listening back to a song and I sound like I'm in a community college performance of Cabaret.

And Through The Wire youtu.be/k0UJtixnii8?si=ijws… via @YouTube Song I'm listening to ahead of going in the studio. Lyrics seem to be about lusting for someone over the phone, but knowing nothing else it's impossible to say for sure. It's impressionistic enough to mean anything. Great

I was thinking about being in a band and writing lyrics. I dunno. It's something I'm kicking around.
