Minutes were there, level of consumption were there - would play this one in 10/10 cases. Elite read, poor execution. ❌ 1u P.Watson (Cavs) o12.5 ❌ 11
This will be my #2 OFFICIAL BET from today's slate - will release one or two more by the end of the night! LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u P.Watson (Cavs) o12.5 [FanDuel] 1.86 Watson is one of my absolute favorite bets on today's slate, and I genuinely hope Peyton delivers a BIG scoring performance tonight. Last season, Jordi Fernandez ran one of the best defenses in the league against PnR ball handlers, consistently having his big men hedge aggressively and forcing opposing ball handlers to get rid of the ball as quickly as possible. This type of defensive coverage creates opportunities for spot-up shooters and slashers cutting toward the basket (as well as open lanes for rolling big men, although Brooklyn often tends to clog the paint against the roll). Watson is perfectly suited to exploit TWO of the defensive weaknesses mentioned above. He finished his first game against the 76ers with just 8 points on 2/7 shooting from the field. However, I expect Watson to see significantly more offensive involvement tonight, especially considering that I anticipate a TON of blitz coverage against Mitchell and Harden, particularly during their staggered minutes. This should create an ideal opportunity for Peyton to capitalize as a secondary offensive option. Without exaggeration, I expect him to finish the game with somewhere around 11–14 FGA. On top of that, the Nets were one of the WORST transition defenses in the league last season. Watson absolutely loves running the floor, and judging by Brooklyn's opening game against the Hornets, their transition defense still appears to be a major weakness. I believe Watson could easily pick up several cheap points in transition. Finally, this is an EXTREMELY favorable matchup for him, considering he'll spend a significant portion of the game matched up against MPJ, who has never exactly been known for his defensive effort or consistency throughout his career.

BANG ‼️ Any other capper on this one? No sweat winner, as Ware is DOMINATING on both ends of the floor! 1u K.El'Ware (Bucks) o9.5 ✅ 1.90 Who tailed this one? 👀
This will be my last FREE PLAY of the day! LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u K.El'Ware (Bucks) o9.5 [FanDuel] 1.90 This is one of those bets where I'll either look like a genius or a complete idiot, but I've been waiting all day for Ware's line, hoping it would be set at 9.5. At this number, I simply have to take it. Although his minutes under coach Jenkins remain questionable, I believe he could see a slightly bigger role tonight than he did in the opening two games. First of all, this is a B2B game for the Bucks, so there's a decent chance Turner plays a few fewer minutes than usual. Secondly, Ware's rim protection could be extremely valuable against Embiid. Turner could easily get into foul trouble while defending Embiid, which would create another opportunity for Ware to pick up some extra minutes. As long as Ware stays disciplined and avoids unnecessary fouls, I genuinely believe he has a great chance of clearing this line. I already explained in my Mobley analysis just how poorly the 76ers have defended PnR actions and opposing big men to start the season. Both Mobley and Allen practically cleared their lines by halftime, while KAT and Drummond did so in dominant fashion, especially considering Drummond's offensive role and KAT's minutes. Ware can punish Embiid both as a roll man and in PnR situations. He could also grab a few easy points off offensive rebounds, as Philadelphia has struggled significantly with defensive rebounding. Everything was already covered in my Mobley breakdown: Embiid's extremely poor lateral movement when defending PnR actions, combined with his lack of interest in defending anything outside the paint, gives me plenty of confidence that Ware can reach 10+ points tonight. For those willing to take a bigger risk, I'd also recommend his double-double and 15+ points.

BANG ‼️ BANG ‼️ 1u B.Adebayo o16.5 ✅ 1.94 0.50u B.Adebayo 3-pointers o1.5 ✅ 2.08 Anybody tailed this? 👀
Potentially one more play to come close to the tip-off! LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u B.Adebayo (Heat) o17.5 [FanDuel] 1.94 0.50u B.Adebayo (Heat) 3-pointers o1.5 [FanDuel] 2.08 I'm backing Adebayo once again, especially after what was arguably the worst game of his entire career against the Pistons, where we saw a combination of early foul trouble, a disastrous offensive performance, and a complete lack of motivation after spending practically the entire first half on the bench. It's time for a bounce-back. Charles Lee is a very, very underrated defensive coach. He showed us multiple times last season that he has a recipe for slowing Giannis down to some extent. In fact, across all 3 games against the Hornets last season, the Greek Freak averaged approximately 17 FGA and just 5 FTA per game, significantly below his season averages. The reason behind this is that the Hornets consistently played a clogging defense against Giannis, deliberately gambling on outside shooting, constantly packing the paint and building a wall in front of him, forcing Giannis into kick-out passes whenever he attempted to penetrate the paint. I fully expect an identical defensive approach tonight. Unlike the Pistons, who assigned Duren to Giannis and Collins to Bam, I believe we'll see Naz as the primary defender on Giannis tonight. Throughout his years in Minnesota, Naz regularly defended dominant opposing big men almost exclusively in single coverage. I expect Moussa to operate as the primary helper, which brings us to the most important part of this analysis. This Miami team simply CANNOT function unless Bam consistently stretches the floor for Giannis. Against the Pistons, during the limited minutes Bam and Giannis shared the floor, Bam barely stepped outside the paint, and Miami's offense looked absolutely disastrous. That's why it's crucial to see Bam operating as a STRETCH FIVE during their shared minutes, something I fully expect Spoelstra to start implementing after two disastrous performances to open the season. I believe this line is way too low for Adebayo, especially considering that Miami has lost three high-usage players (JJJ, Powell, and Herro). I expect Bam's line to settle somewhere around 19–20.5 points as the season progresses. The matchup should be extremely favorable by his standards. With Charlotte building the aforementioned wall against Giannis, Bam should have plenty of space beyond the three-point line or potentially in the dunker's spot. On top of that, Bam should have numerous opportunities to attack his defenders off the dribble, especially during staggered minutes with Giannis on the bench. Last season, Bam faced the Hornets three times (he got injured after just 10 minutes in one of those games). In the other two matchups, he scored 26 and 24 points, averaging 5 3PA and 21 FGA per game. I think 21 FGA might be a little too ambitious tonight, but I fully expect him to attempt somewhere between 17–19 shots, which should be more than enough for a relatively comfortable OVER.

...and the biggest reason why they're sucking this bad at the beginning of the season is Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Miami looks so, so bad... Washed Klay, washed Wiggins - they might need some fresh blood from the bench. How about we include Simone & Dru Smith into the rotation?

I will drop several plays in the next 25 minutes - one by one! Let's start with the first! LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u A.Wiggins (Hawks) u11.5 [FanDuel] 1.88 If Wiggins were listed at 12.5, I'd probably take him for 1.25 units. However, with the line sitting one point lower, I'm sticking with our standard stake. I believe Wiggins' numbers are somewhat inflated, considering he had two outstanding shooting performances in the first two games of the season, scoring 19 and 16 points on ridiculously efficient shooting splits (5/9 and 7/9 FG). Not only do I expect some shooting regression, but Wiggins could also face a serious reality check after his first two dream performances, especially considering that the Rockets were one of the BEST defenses in the league against spot-up shooters last season. The reason behind this is Houston's switch-heavy defensive scheme. Sengun is usually deployed in a roaming role, guarding the opposing team's WORST SHOOTER (Daniels in this particular matchup), while the Rockets have extremely mobile and defensively capable players at positions 1–4 who can switch practically EVERYTHING on the perimeter. Another factor working in our favor is Sheppard's potential absence, which could result in additional minutes for Smart. I don't think there's any need to elaborate on his defensive abilities. Atlanta also has A LOT of mouths to feed offensively: JJ, Okongwu, NAW, CJ, and Daniels. There are only so many shots to go around, and I believe Wiggins finishing with single-digit FGA is once again a very realistic scenario tonight. If we filter his hit rate against this line last season to games where he played between 20–30 minutes and attempted 7–10 FGA, he stayed UNDER this line in 13 of his last 18 qualifying games! Interestingly enough, one of those games came against the Rockets, when he finished with just 10 points.

If you're going to tail this one - show me some love below! LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u D.Murray (NOP) P+R u21.5 [FanDuel] 1.87 *group got it on 22,5* -I think this line is set a bit too high, as Pelicans has a ton of mouths to feed at the offensive end of the floor. If we look at the Pels' squad, we can see a plethora of shot-chuckers and potentially a huge BALL-SPENDERERS: Zion, Murphy, Bey, Mathurin, Fears, Queen, Poole (who might be out of the rotation), Murray - with that being said, I think Murray's primarily role at the offensive end of the floor will be to orchestrate Pels' attack and to act as a FASCILITATOR! -He didn't play in preseason games, also he missed the majority of the season last year, and on top of that, he injured his toe at the training - so we might be in a good position to see Murphy playing sub 30 minutes, which might be crucial for us. -Even tho both teams LOVES to run, I think he won't spend that many balls at the offensive end of the floor. Also, he might see Nembhard as his MUP partner, because I think coach Rick will try to hide Haliburton on Jones - Nembhard is a phenomenal perimeter defender. -He will always be dragged away from the basket, as he will guard Haliburton, and with that being said, his opportunities for rebounding might decrease.

Let's try to open our FREE SEGMENT with a ✅💰 here, shall we? LIKE/RT = TAIL 1u C.Cunningham o23.5 [MGM] 1.83 1u J.Tatum o26.5 [FanDuel] 1.87 Tatum: The Boston Celtics have essentially handed Jayson Tatum the keys to the franchise following the Brown trade, meaning there is absolutely no doubt that Tatum will be the UNDISPUTED #1 OFFENSIVE OPTION on this team. Unlike last season, he won't have Brown alongside him, who was capable of taking 22+ FGA per game even while sharing the floor with Jayson. Besides the fact that I expect Tatum's USG% to rank TOP-5 IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE this season, I also believe Boston's decision could give him a significant psychological boost. The newly acquired PG is nowhere near the same level of ball-dominant player as Brown, which is another positive factor for this bet. Sportsbooks have Tatum projected at 20.5 FGA tonight, but considering the Pistons' defensive scheme, I believe we could easily see Jayson attempt 22–24 FGA. With that kind of volume, I see him as significantly more likely to hit the over than stay below this line. Detroit's defensive philosophy shouldn't change much compared to last season. Duren will consistently operate in drop/semi-drop coverage, which should give Tatum plenty of room to operate coming off screens and create pull-up opportunities. Another reason why I expect Detroit to defend TATUM IN SINGLE COVERAGE tonight is his direct matchup against Ausar Thompson, who is widely considered one of the best defenders in the league. However, I still believe Tatum's offensive bag is simply too deep for any defensive scheme Detroit can throw at him. On top of that, Detroit is a team that constantly plays on the edge of fouling. Last season, they allowed the MOST FREE THROW ATTEMPTS IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE (#1), and I don't expect that to change much this season. Tatum loves playing through contact, and with him being the alpha and omega of this Celtics team, I believe we could easily see JT attempt 7+ FTA tonight. Tatum is definitely someone who thrives under pressure. Looking at his last few SEASON-OPENING GAMES, we can see the following scoring numbers: 37, 34, and 35 POINTS, while attempting 22+ FGA in 2 of those 3 games. Although I don't put too much weight on PRESEASON games, we could already see that Detroit intends to stick with its physical, single-coverage + drop defensive approach: - Booker: 13 PTS (16 minutes) - Green: 11 PTS (15 minutes) - Edwards: 20 PTS (28 minutes — 5/15 FG and 9 FTA!) Cunningham: At one point last season, Boston was running a hybrid defensive scheme, trying everything possible to shut down opposing teams' PRIMARY SCORING OPTIONS, while deliberately allowing a huge number of spot-up (SU) and catch-and-shoot (C&S) opportunities. However, with Tatum back, they've completely returned to their traditional DANNY AINGE-STYLE SINGLE-COVERAGE DEFENSE, with Queta operating in drop coverage. Against Robinson in the starting unit, Cade will face arguably THE DEEPEST DROP COVERAGE IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE, so I'm really hoping his pull-up jumpers will be falling tonight. Once Queta checks into the game, Boston won't be playing quite as deep of a drop as they will with Robinson, but they'll still be willing to sacrifice pull-up opportunities in order to protect the RESTRICTED AREA (RA) AND THE PAINT. Boston was one of the best paint-defending teams in the league last season. Sportsbooks have Cunningham projected at 19.5 FGA tonight. With that kind of expected volume against Walsh, Scheierman, PG, and Boston's drop coverage, I consider this line an absolute MUST-BET ON TONIGHT'S SLATE. Regardless of how good the aforementioned players might be defensively, I simply believe Cade is significantly more talented on the offensive end. Looking at the games in which Cade attempted between 18–22 FGA last season, he cleared this line in 20 OF HIS LAST 24 GAMES, while scoring 22+ POINTS IN ALL 24 OF THOSE GAMES.

With Harris and LeVert departing and Collins and Joe coming in, Detroit's offense should take on an entirely new dimension. More importantly, the DRIVING LANES FOR CADE SHOULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE OPEN than they were last season, potentially allowing us to see a ton of ISO BASKETBALL FROM CUNNINGHAM WITH A WELL-SPACED FLOOR. Finally, Cade has always enjoyed playing against Boston. In his recent matchups against the Celtics last season, he posted the following scoring numbers: 25, 42, 42, and 16 POINTS. And considering this is the SEASON OPENER, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we witnessed an absolute SHOOTOUT BETWEEN CADE AND TATUM tonight.
