He's not wrong.
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Patrick Stewart brought a new level of performance to science fiction with his peerless performance as Jean-Luc Picard. He was also a genius on stage--I saw his Christmas Carol and two Pinter plays I disliked but for him. And he wrote a remarkable memoir. What a loss.

I am old enough to remember when our consulate in Benghazi was attacked on the anniversary of 9/11 and the president went to bed without concerning himself about the four dead Americans. He then blamed a video for the violence and lied about what he knew.
.@BarackObama: I am old enough to remember when a president wearing a tan suit was a major national controversy. They were very upset. And I know I looked good in that suit.

Nearly 80% of JoAnna Mendoza’s itemized individual contributions with reported state information came from outside Arizona; only about 20% came from Arizona. Arizona doesn’t need Mendoza. Send her packing. @JuanCiscomani @teamciscomani
How many of JoAnna Mendoza’s endorsers can actually vote in AZ06? Most can’t. They don’t live here. They don’t know our communities. They may fund her campaign but they don’t get to decide our future. We won’t let them. Our district belongs to the people who call it HOME.

Cool, but if you can't eat a box of cereal before it becomes stale you're doing it wrong.

So it appears all the pollsters missed in Israel. By a lot. Which suggests —suggests— that relying on American pollsters for next week might not be prudent.

RIP Walter "Chekov" Koenig. Here he is looking for "nuclear wessels" in Star Trek IV (1986):

Another Star Trek legend lost. Chekov was a true icon of scifi, and one of my fondest memories of any comic con was getting to shake Walter Koenig's hand and tell him how much I appreciated his work. RIP, sir.
Walter Koenig, who played Chekov in the original “Star Trek” series and seven “Star Trek” feature films, has died at 90. variety.com/2026/film/news/w…

Your kid caught some cloud iridescence. Those rainbow-like patches show up when sunlight passes through thin, newly forming clouds made of tiny water droplets that are all about the same size, which bends the light into pastel colors. It usually only happens close to the sun, so it's easy to miss. Great desert backdrop too, with a saguaro and a spindly ocotillo in the shot.

Democrats are getting unabashedly radical, but that's what lost them the last election.
