Okay, but show me what the crease looks like on the iPhone 18 after you’ve folded it 10,000 times. I’ll wait.
YouTuber Tim Pan folded an iPhone Duo 10,000 times to see what the screen crease would look like after years of use. Here's the before and after:

Now seeing Grok Bots in X Chat

Almost two weeks since the last mention of Grok 4.8
However, most @Bot requests are pretty simple and will be handled by a lightning-fast version of Grok 4.8 when that comes out. Operating principle is to give Grok Bot users the best possible combination of speed & intelligence.

Replying to @techdevnotes
Grok 4.8, which is a 2.5T model trained with our new C++ software stack, will finish training this week and start RL

When they’re inevitably forced to sell some combination of Quenton Nelson, Jonathan Taylor, DeForest Buckner, and Sauce Gardner for draft capital so a coach will be willing to come to this franchise next year, I hope they’re all sent somewhere deserving.

I watched this entire video and felt claustrophobic the whole time.

Honestly a bit torn on how to feel about REA, but the fact that it’s supported officially by Nous Research is somehow comforting.
Check out the new official plugin I created for Hermes Agent that includes the REA MCP + a Skill for how to use it way more effectively! hermes-agent.nousresearch.co…

Last year I thought Threads was an existential risk to X. When Meta puts its full weight behind something -- by injecting the app into Instagram, it’s DEFCON 5: You have to squeeze out every last drop of growth from all available surfaces to save the app. However, I started to realize that the opposite was happening: It was strengthening X. If you look at any announcement by Zuck, you will see the most rude & toxic comments on the internet. But when he makes those same announcements on X, people are thrilled about how he’s pushing humanity forward. X is a place where people are excited about the future, so it’s no surprise he and his top lieutenants are using it more than their own app. Threads — and Bluesky — have effectively quarantined some of the worst people on the internet. And so I had an epiphany: those apps are X’s anti-abuse systems.

I know one of his companies literally launches rockets, but I’m a tad bit concerned that this is going to end poorly. 😅
Holy shit y’all are not ready for tonight’s Tesla Roadster demonstration. There is a massive ramp 😂

HomeView 2 that has a mechanized base for motion tracking and magnetic connector so you can take them on and off the stand/wall will be a nice upgrade. And HomeView Max (also known as Apple Watch Wumbo / iPad Sqround) probably isn’t too far off.
I wonder if Apple is aware how completely they could have cornered the home hardware market if they had just committed themselves to it earlier. I feel like most people have an eclectic mix of devices, but there are certain core devices that Apple could have taken massive amounts of market share like indoor cameras, thermostats, video doorbells, and routers. Just confusing that they never seized the opportunity to make first-party devices (and even abandoned AirPort!)

Was thinking about this since last night, and I really don't think SpaceXSI/Cursor would do this without some optimistic knowledge that Grok 4.8 (and maybe some Composer-type models) is going to be a competitive model.
Cursor is now part of The X Subscription. Current Cursor subscribers can keep their plan or switch to The X Subscription. Paid plans share one usage pool across Cursor, Grok Build, and other Grok products, with twice the coding usage on Grok models as the equivalent Cursor plan. Premium, Super, and Ultra also include Grok Bot. To make room for more Grok usage, third-party models in Cursor move to API pricing on the new plans. We'll keep working to make your usage go further, with more compute, better inference, and more token-efficient models. The X Subscription is available at cursor.com/pricing.

The four best childhood books.
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is developing a movie adaptation of "Hatchet," Gary Paulsen’s 1987 young adult survival novel. • The film will be written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, best known for films such as “Blue Valentine” and “The Place Beyond the Pines.” • Per the synopsis: “Hatchet” follows “13-year-old Brian Robeson, who is stranded alone in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash with nothing but the hatchet his mother gave him.” • Paulsen later expanded the story into a five-book series that included “The River” (1991), “Brian’s Winter” (1996), “Brian’s Return” (1999) and “Brian’s Hunt” (2003). wp.me/pc8uak-1lHWxk

If Grok 4.8 isn’t good, it might be over for SpaceXSI training models from scratch.

Wonder Full (isn't it wonderful!) is available in Muse Code.
BREAKING 🔥: Meta is rolling out Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on the Meta Model API platform! > Muse Wonder Full - Our most capable model, running at max reasoning. For the hardest, longest-running work — available to Muse Code subscribers, not on the API. > Muse Wonder - State-of-the-art at real-world coding, built for long-running tasks. Plans the work, calls tools in parallel, hands parts off to sub-agents, and recovers from errors so complex jobs finish.

I know nobody's listening to me about what they should do at Disney World because I'm Just A Guy Who Goes With His Wife Sometimes, but it would presumably be really easy to theme Soarin' to different seasons/events. E.g. during October they should have you flying over scenes from Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Haunted Mansion, etc. And this doesn't even include my idea for DINO-SOARIN', the Dinosaur-Soarin' crossover.
