Bisexuals do not have to be: * equally attracted to all genders * attracted to all genders all the time * polyamorous * sexually active * visibly queer ... to be fully bisexual.

I don't typically tweet about agents' rejections (as I also don't tweet about requests). But I received a rejection on a full today, for my "queer roller derby YA," because, the agent told me, he'd discovered I am married to a man. Ouch. 1/3

A friend just told me this and OF COURSE— We queers deserve clarity and actual expressed interest. And I’ll add —- we often accept less if we are still learning how to be healthy and vibrantly queer in a way that is true to ourselves. #bisexual #queerlove

I have lived and seen these patterns of deep and real love between queers suddenly imploding because we don’t have a map for navigating all the nuance. It’s normal fears of vulnerability which is hard. It’s also shame and a kind of starvation that makes it hard to be measured.

Gender assigned at birth is a patriarchal narrative about genitalia and that it is sometimes correct on an individual basis does not mean that this approach to gender assignment is any more legitimate than determining career paths based on hair color.

Bi brunch today was magical. I think this is in person brunch number 24, with a big break for the pandemic. It feels so good to hear people say that they feel so seen and connected. This experience needs to be less rare for us. We need more spaces.
