⚠️Modern-day slavery alert: A Muslim couple Advocate Ayesha Jaffer Sheikh and her husband, held their domestic help captive. The husband physically assaulted her while the wife repeatedly threatened to murder her. Actress Sambhavna Seth rescued the young woman after the worker’s sister, who works at Sambhavna’s house, raised the alarm. It’s worth noting that when Sambhavna approached the Kharghar Police for help, they refused to register her complaint. Instead, they assisted the couple in filing a false robbery case against the victim. Shame on @Navimumpolice for protecting the real culprits and targeting the victim. This nightmare could have been avoided if an FIR had been filed immediately, allowing agencies to free the woman sooner. Domestic help agencies must start giving workers the option to choose employers based on faith.
