If they wore respirator masks, they wouldn't have to. Seeing sick people unmasked is stupid.

Residual viral protein sticks around in the blood for months after COVID. A fifth of people who fully recovered have it too.
So it doesn't work as a test for long COVID - and that's not why it's interesting. Two new studies.🧵

If you’re in a GP practice & you have swathes of staff off sick, why do you think that is?Are they not washing their hands enough?Do you not think it’s time to pop a mask on before your whole team comes down with Covid? GP partners,do you enjoy the stress & financial cost of this?

We need new tests to measure the immune system status and tests to measure the autonomic nervous system function in the clinic and at home. We need to move forward with new diagnostic tests and not get stuck in the past with tests that are suboptimal and/or outdated.
We're unable to measure our immune system status in the clinic. But that is about to change.

My GP surgery actually has a poster up, requesting patients to wear masks now.
But not a single member of staff were masked, so patients have no role model.
I was still the ONLY masked person in the whole building.
My appt was cancelled due to staff sickness, by the way.🙄

We have spent YEARS sharing the horrors of #LongCovid. That takes courage, in case that isn't clear, and we have been mocked, bullied, and lied about for our trouble. We didn't do it for our health. We did it for you and for your kids. What we share between us, off the public timeline, well, most of you can't handle that truth. It is ugly and terrifying. SARS-CoV-2 destroys your immune system, reactivates what you thought were dormant viruses or cancers, blinds you, steals your cognition, eats your organs, kills you. It robs you of your ability to shower and feed yourself and leave your home. It destroys your finances and any idea of a future and leaves you isolated, alone. I know what I know because it is happening to me and to my friends. /1
