why city politics matter: In 2013, the city of toronto rejected the amendment to expand Billy Bishop and remove the ban on jets. This caused Bombardier's CSeries order with Porter to not go through and forced them to go with Delta, resulting in a disaster firesale to Airbus. So, a city government indirectly removed Canada's commercial airliner program.

loud 996 people are directionally the same as wifeguys if you know what i mean
Revolut founder Nik Storonsky says working weekends is essential to survive, calling it "purely statistical" "So China is 996. And then even if you are good in Europe or even if you are good in US, how can you outcompete people who work nine to nine, 6 days a week?" "When I started in the startup space, there were 140 companies. Within five years, only three companies survived. They all worked on weekends." "Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140. So I think work on weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistical." "Out of all European companies, we're probably one of the hardest working, and I think we're also one of the hardest working companies if you include US as well."

Mid freq fundamental equities are a poker game played against whatever Glup Shitto KPI the pods decided was important lately and if that changes for some inscrutable reason or you are focused on another KPI then you are like definitionally going to underperform over 3-12 months.

to be abundantly clear: Jensen is probably ordering a temple to Liang Sheng rn He's been saying that 1 GW is worth $100B or more yeah, it is. Actually might be a conservative estimate. Brace for impact
there have been 27.3K GB200 NVL72 racks shipped in 2025 alone. it follows from this mafs that 4167 racks, or ≈300K cards, would have sufficed for $100B annual revenue at DeepSeek's 2026 prices (less with Anthropic's B2B model; I'll ignore consumer subs). Nvidia is about to RIP

Out of pocket spending is astonishingly low in the US compared to what most people expect, and comparable to Canada.
