The rather obliging juv Red Backed Shrike near Wingerworth, Chesterfield this evening. Watched it take many prey items including a Lesser Emperor which is possibly rarer! @derbyshirebirds #Derbyshirebirds #Shrike – at Wingerworth, England

A record-breaking Little Tern season at Spurn! A minimum of 116 pairs fledged 149 young, beating the previous best of 107 by 42 birds — almost 40%. Huge thanks to our wardens, January’s crowdfund supporters and The National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding the project.
