Passivity in the face of such lawlessness, as caused by Judge Święczkowski and President Nawrocki, would not be compliant with the Constitution. There was a legal and moral obligation for the new judges and state authorities to act.

The Poland situation follows a familiar pattern: social media amplifies a vocal minority, often using fabricated or recycled video, and suggests it is resurgent, has the moral high ground, and reflects the broad popular will. Except that’s never the case.
