I’ve been privileged to never experience police brutality, but in the case of George Floyd, I feel immense sadness, infuriation, and fear that this is real. A man was murdered by suffocation beneath the knee of an officer of the law that viewed him as inhuman.
You can’t demand to speak to the manager or tell me “all lives matter” in alternating caps in some half-assed attempt of rebuttal fueled by the desire to absolve yourself the guilt you feel is being unfairly thrust onto you and your overly-offended conscience.
