Today I'm launching Avo 馃, a configuration-based, no-maintenance, extendable Ruby on Rails admin.
It's in open beta, and I would love your help to try it out and let me know how it helps you move faster with Rails.

R2D32: wrote out a todo list for game, plus started writing rough code to see if I can implement the most difficult parts of gameplay #100DaysOfCode
R2D31(yesterday): settled on an idea to remake the game Kingdom in #pico8. Watched a video on animation and code abstraction in pico8 before finishing this mockup of the game #100DaysOfCode
R2D30: I'm giving up on my Qix remake - it's been 30 days and I'm still stuck on the fill feature. I'm not giving up on game dev or #100daysofcode tho - I'm starting work on a new (simpler!) game tomorrow 馃馃従
R2D29: one thing I miss from web dev when doing game dev is test driven development. I especially missed them today whilst trying to fix a pathfinding bug. So I've started writing a rough test framework to assert the following pathfinding scenarios in my game #tdd #100DaysOfCode
R2D28: tried to implement autofilling shapes with only one side connected to the edge of the screen and instead created a bug 馃槅 #100DaysOfCode
R2D27: player can now draw shapes next to each other and they will automatically fill with color #100DaysOfCode
R2D26: slowly adding different shapes that the player can draw #100DaysOfCode
R2D25: not much coding today, but a little refactoring done #100DaysOfCode
R2D24 At last! A flood fill algorithm that works! Found it on a random #pico8 thread and I'm tweaking it for my purposes. Tomorrow I will refactor the code and then I'll try and fill shapes that are only connected to the border by one side #100DaysOfCode
R2D23 Started work on implementing yet another flood fill alogorithm today - should have something to show for it tomorrow!馃馃従 #100DaysOfCode
R2D22 I found a flood fill algorithm that works! Trick is I need to feed it all the vertices of any shape a player draws. So that's what I'll be working on tomorrow #100DaysOfCode
R2D21: I'm giving up on using any type of flood fill algorithm in my game - it just eats up too much memory. Instead I'm gonna change the game slightly to only allow the player to draw rectangles which should be a lot easier to fill 馃 #100DaysOfCode
R2D20: I've got an alternative to the flood fill algorithm working 馃帀 Tomorrow I'll tweak it to color shapes precisely #100DaysOfCode
R2D19: hm, I seemed to have hot a brick wall - my implementation of the flood fill algorithm for my game still doesn't work, even after a couple of refactors. Tomorrow I might head to the #PICO8 forums for the first time to ask for help #100DaysOfCode
R2D18: not much coding today, but more re-thinking player movement. Using what I learnt from the first attempt, I'm hoping to avoid re-writing this code again 馃馃従 #100DaysOfCode
R2D17: had to rewrite a lot of code today to overcome a problem to do with player movement. Hopefully it will be fully fixed tomorrow #100DaysOfCode
