Nitin, Check this out. We unveiled India’s first diesel-electric hybrid passenger vehicle, (on a Scorpio platform) at the Delhi Auto Expo. In 2006. Two decades ago. Didn’t commercialise it because the market simply wasn’t ready. As for V6s and V8s, building them was never rocket science. The real question was whether India needed more gas-guzzlers. This needs to be discouraged by traffic police and avoided by drivers. If one needs to talk on mobile or deal with screen - stop car on side, finish pending business and drive at normal speeds on road.
