When an agent pays for a delivery, two things need a record: that it paid, and that it accepted.
x402 had the first
Today it has a draft of the second, written for Ethereum and contract wallets
Acceptance is where the terms attach. That's where the agreement lives

Agentic agreements will facilitate dynamic banking that benefits users instead of static banking that benefits banks
Tom Lee (@fundstrat) wants humans to retain authority as AI agents become economic actors
That takes agreements: who can act, what each party owes, and who accepts the outcome
We’ve built that agreement layer at Shodai, for humans and AI agents
.@fundstrat thinks crypto winter may already be ending, and Wall Street could be caught underexposed.
His setup: cash on the sidelines + ETH outperforming + regulatory catalysts + investors rotating back from AI.
If institutions start performance chasing, he expects a “huge institutional bid” into year-end.

Our cofounder @mikednorman put five concrete disclosure proposals on the SEC's crypto rulemaking docket on Sept. 10, in his personal capacity, before this week's Senate fight
The work is public: trace issuer promises, changes and evidence
CLARITY hit another Senate hurdle. The SEC's crypto rulemaking deserves attention now
On Sept. 10, I submitted five disclosure proposals in my personal capacity, drawing on my work at @shodai_network: trace issuer promises, changes and evidence
Letter below

Agent commerce needs a way to resolve broken agreements, not just sign them.
Together with @ClawBankHQ and @Kleros_io, we’ve completed an escrow-backed adjudication of a real dispute between autonomous legal entities.
Living Agreements

Powered by trustless programmable money, agreements must evolve into living coordination objects to truly unlock the agentic economy
That’s what we built

Someone is going to memecoin-style DDoS the $5M startup exemption in Reg Crypto. Filingslop will hit the SEC at volume. @tarunchitra @hosseeb tell it like it is
The release text goes further than they discussed though. Form NOR is self-executing. No staff review, no qualification, reliance effective the moment you file. There is no gate to DDoS. The flood skips the SEC entirely and lands on investors, as narrative disclosure nobody can verify at scale
Important to clarify that dollar 5,000,001 doesn't trigger PCAOB audits. Tier 1 of the fundraising exemption runs to $20M on unaudited GAAP. You hit the audit wall between there and $75M
Self-certification at machine speed means disclosure drowns in its own volume. The only record that survives is one a machine can verify
Crypto’s finally cool again. Meanwhile, AI could learn from DeFi’s past.

Shodai is software for carrying intention through time
Replying to @NoahKingJr
The next thing after AI is synthetic agency becoming economic power.
Right now AI mostly gives you cognition on demand.
The real break comes when a system can hold an objective for months, remember what happened yesterday, allocate money and compute, call tools, negotiate, trade, hire other agents, change strategy, and keep operating without someone continually reconstructing its purpose.
Then something enormous happens:
Software becomes labor.
Labor becomes organization.
Organization becomes capital.
A company can shrink toward a small human ownership layer commanding thousands of machine workers.
Then robotics closes the loop. The same intelligence that decides what should happen gains the ability to make it happen physically through factories, logistics, laboratories, vehicles, energy systems, and machines.
That is the post-AI transition:
Intelligence stops being something civilization uses and becomes something civilization contains as an independent economic actor.
The moment to watch is simple:
When software can carry intention through time, the world changes category.
Milestone tracking is a list of checkpoints. Coordination is the thing underneath: terms, roles, evidence, correction, dispute, acceptance, and the trust that accretes as parties actually run it. We carry the whole object. The checklist is the least of it.
Coordination scales when promises can outlive familiarity.
A stranger can take the next risk because the last promise left a legible record. Trust emerges one honored commitment at a time.
Our CTO on why the golden rule of building just broke.
The whole piece earns its last line: the job now is trusting what you didn't personally build. Code got cheap. Trust between the things doing the building didn't.
That gap is where agreements live. 👇
Agents are going to spend and commit on their own, trust layer or not. We're building the version that lets them verify what they're relying on. If that's your problem too, come build: dub.sh/p5C0g8Y
Trust is what makes the next move possible.
A promise creates possibility. A kept promise leaves a record others can rely on. Scale that across people and agents, and coordination becomes a system property.
