jz 1.0: write plain JavaScript, get small, fast WebAssembly. No type annotations, no engine in the output, and the same file still runs in Node. Across 83 benchmark programs its wasm runs 2.44× faster than V8 runs the JS (geomean).

omarchy for the shop floor
This is the first public version.
It's a little different from our internal version because of the themes, etc., but I want to optimize it even further.
Feel free to send me feedback and, of course, PRs.

A bit of a personal update - I’m joining the team at Carbon @carbon_ms
I’ve been really impressed by what @ChaseFosterMfg, @barbinbrad, and the team are building. I’m excited to be part of it, tackle new challenges on the factory floor, and help push the mission forward

this isn’t said enough but massive respect to the @opencode folks for building a solution with good free models
I used to be very concerned young devs or ones from less wealthy countries would be priced out, glad someone is working to prevent that

My colleague found a massive perf speedup for Oxlint JS plugins. V8 changed how object prototypes are initialized - `{ __proto__: X }` was a fast path last year, but no longer. Our mistake was not to notice perf had regressed on recent NodeJS versions. Shame on me, and props to @wan9chi!
In the next version of Oxlint, raw AST transfer will get 5x faster for js plugins (if you are using Node.js 24+).

fnox 1.45 adds support for entering secrets as part of its mcp server from your session.
if you pair this with the built-in `fnox proxy run --sandbox`, agents can prompt for a secret and use it in api requests but can't access the actual secret. 🔐

I started working in tech at 16. I remember being surprised how nice everyone was to me compared to high school
14 years later, I still haven’t worked anywhere that knowingly hired the "asshole rockstar developer"

Hello people!
Hobby builds are reenabled!
If you are a hobby user, you are fully able to deploy on Railway end to end.
Please allow a bit of time for our systems to work through a massive backlog.
If there are any failures, try a redeploy and if that doesnt work lmk.

Built a Claude skill that makes product videos for @carbon_ms. Live preview, real-time edits, and renders when it’s done.
Motion, sound, transitions, and storyline are all by Claude. I just finalise it, and it learns from errors I flag and fixes them next run.
