UEC has released the following press release "The Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC) informs that the photo-finish system used at the 2026 UEC Road European Championships (EtherLynx Vision PRO X) records the finish line thousands of times per second (13,000 in the specific case of the European Championship races), making it possible to determine the finishing order with extreme precision, even when the differences are minimal. It is important to clarify that a photo finish is not a traditional photograph. The final image is composed of the chronological sequence of recordings made at the finish line; for this reason, the horizontal axis represents time, not distance. This can create apparent distortions of wheels, bicycles and riders, without any impact on the accuracy of the result. In cycling, the determining reference is the most advanced part (tangent) of the front wheel at the moment it reaches the finish line. At the European Championships, two independent photo-finish systems were used, providing two separate images to verify the result. The UEC will make no further statements on the matter." tuttobiciweb.it/article/1791…

Impossible for government with all the procurement processes. Where you need a quote and purchase order. For 200€/yr it will require additional 500€ of processing costs in time.

We in tech need to stop normalising apps and accounts for one-off actions. I don’t want to: • Create an account to pay €2 to enter a beach pier. • Install an app to see a restaurant menu. • Install an app to pay for parking. Let me just pay and move on.

GitHub Copilot just shifted to usage-based billing and it already burned through my entire month of AI credits in a single day. What used to last a month now lasts a day. Now pay for extra credits or wait until the 1st. Worst billing change ever, @github . #githubcopilot

Soon we'll find out the real cost of all these awesome AI tools we've been using. It won't be fun.
Cancelled my GitHub Copilot subscription. It was a helpful tool for $10/month. But now it's 200x more expensive. No, thanks.

Shall I spilt the testing over 2-3 months to be able to use it within the included credits?
