Grateful my poem was published in Doximity Op-MED. It reflects on the loss of a patient with metastatic gastric cancer during my intern year and reminds me that we, too, need space to grieve. Writing helps me cope and honor the journeys of patients who entrust us with their stories. "White Coats, Hidden Wounds: A Poem" from Op-Med. Read on @Doximity doximity.com/newsfeed/bee459…

Last day of #endocrinology service today and WE HAD FUN: Tackle exotic cases alongside bread-and-butter medicine with a fantastic partner. The perks of trying continuous glucose monitoring made it more fun! Will evidence-based data-driven lifestyle modification be the next thing? – at Bronx, NY
First night shift yesterday wasn’t so bad, the only task is to keep all my patients alive from sunset to sunrise and then sign off.
After figuring it all out, I entered the next level of 'Where's Waldo': Find a computer, find a functioning unoccupied computer, find the epic icon, find the right lists, find the patient, find relevant medical notes among mumbo jumbo, find the useful labs and ...the way home
The first month of residency feels like a scavenger hunt game: Find parking without another ticket, find the right hospitals building, find the patient’s room, find the patient, find a mask, find the right sized gloves, find the XS scrubs, find the cafeteria, find the restroom🙃
