I was proud to attend the welcome ceremony for the First Secretary Koichi Hatanaka, Japanese Embassy in Washington DC, as well as the farewell ceremony for outgoing First Secretary Hiroya Morikawa. We look forward to a continued friendship between Japan and democratic Syria.

at the @MiddleEastInst I asked Syria’s finance minister about plans for industrial development in Aleppo and the northeast Syria . Syria’s redevelopment needs to be spread throughout the country. All Syrians must benefit from economic investment coming into our nation.
