I find it frankly baffling, this push to make the poorest students go hungry. It is not the fault of the children that they can’t afford food. If they’re unable to eat, they will be unable to learn, and you’re condemning them to being poor for the rest of their lives.

Exciting night in the Smith gaff last night!
Rita has had a Queen of the Night flower for six years, and they only bloom for ONE night. It had never bloomed—until last night, when it suddenly burst open out of nowhere!
You could actually see it move; it was incredible, to be honest. Happened so quickly, lucky to not have missed it.
After 6 years, and just one night of glory the bloom is already starting to wither.
The scent was amazing—tropical with hints of vanilla
Rita was like a kid on Christmas morning! Me too if I’m honest, I’ve never seen anything like it, like a firework
It’s easy to forget how alive plants really are
Hopefully, we’ll see her bloom again someday.
