SCHIZO MANIFESTO: The Sleeping Giant of NFTs @SCHIZO_POSTERS /acc In the last NFT bull run, these digital assets had their moment in the spotlight, experiencing evident price growth and significant mindshare. NFTs were the perfect gateway to the web3 world, touching on themes like community building, making them attractive beyond the typical crypto enthusiasts. However, as with all speculative bubbles, it eventually burst, bringing valuations back to more realistic levels. Yet, I firmly believe that NFTs are far from dead. We are currently in the throes of a meme season, a phenomenon sparked by various factors, most notably the inefficiencies in the ecosystem's traditional structure. This structure, characterized by an overreliance on venture capital leading to inflated valuations and artificially scarce token supplies, has been aptly dubbed the "infrastructure bubble" (For a deeper dive, see @yashhsm's "Ethereum VCs have EBOLA"). Memes have emerged as a form of digital rebellion against this paradigm, representing a grassroots movement within the crypto space. The catalyst for the current meme renaissance is undoubtedly @MustStopMurad, who astutely points out that the true driving force behind this movement are the cults and communities that have formed around these meme projects. These passionate collectives, fueled by a mix of ideology, humor, and speculative fervor, are reshaping the crypto narrative from the ground up. At the heart of this phenomenon is a strong sense of belonging that develops among community members. This sense of community creates a unique group identity, often based on shared values, goals, or visions of the future. As a result, digital assets associated with a given community take on additional, emotional significance that goes beyond their functionality or initial market value. Here the phenomenon of projects such as @radbro_webring, @miladymaker, @retardiosolana or the current leader of this run @spx6900 needs no introduction. The valuation of mindshare and the community alone can exceed hundreds of millions or even billions. Internet communities tend to create their own narratives and mythologies around their assets. These stories, often emphasizing uniqueness or potential for future development, become an integral part of the perceived value. As a result, community members may attribute meaning and value to assets that far exceed their objective characteristics. Communities focused on crypto often exhibit a unique combination of technological sophistication, political skepticism, and a tendency towards alternative interpretations of reality. The culture of this world is rooted in deep ideological foundations that go far beyond technological or economic aspects. Two key philosophies - cypherpunk and anti-establishmentarianism - have shaped not only technical solutions but, above all, the vision of an alternative society. Cypherpunk, as a fundamental ideology, is based on several key principles: privacy is seen as an inalienable human right, decentralization of power and information becomes a priority, and individual autonomy in the digital space is sacred. Cypherpunks deeply believe in using technology to protect personal freedom and exhibit distrust towards centralized control structures. Parallel to cypherpunk, the idea of anti-establishmentarianism developed, which in the context of cryptocurrencies took the form of opposition to traditional power and control structures. This attitude is characterized by questioning the legitimacy of centralized institutions and striving to create alternative social structures. Anti-establishment proponents promote self-organization and direct democracy, oppose state surveillance and control, believing in the possibility of creating a fairer and more transparent system. These ideological foundations have created a unique culture and community, characterized by: - Deep skepticism towards authorities and institutions - Belief in the power of technology to transform society - Striving for greater autonomy and self-determination - Willingness to experiment with new forms of social organization - Strong sense of community and solidarity among "digital dissidents" Why this introduction and philosophical discourse about communities and ideas rooted in crypto? Because I believe the Schizoposter collection embodies these two foundations (so related to crypto foundations). However, visually examining this collection, we already know we need to go deeper. I believe it could be the heir to the space built by Crypto Punks, which are mainly owned by native people in the web3 space. Currently, Schizoposters are attracting many native builders in this space (I'm contributing to this myself by creating the Schizo Builders Association group, which already has almost 100 members). The network that was successfully built paid off with special exclusive events and live friendships at the web3 conference - I guess that's what communities like this are all about. Additionally, I'm convinced that the lore building around it will eventually attract retail investors, but builders and degens are the core of this collection. It's worth mentioning projects like Ethena and Swell, which have strongly expressed their fondness for this collection in their communication. The former did an airdrop for holders, while the latter clearly uses this collection in its marketing communication. We're talking about top projects of this season. I think this is just the beginning. Schizoposters are entering the next phase of building their mindshare. As in the case of the meme season, the catalyst for this is again @MustStopMurad, who included Schizoposters on his list of top NFTs (too low in my opinion, especially compared to collection like the ideal VC-backed product which toys are available in chain stores and have no hint of naturalness). It seems to me that a wave is coming, like in May, but this time the collection will reach a much wider audience. Combined with the very strong fundamentals I've presented, I think we'll break out of the 0.2-0.7 range per schizo, entering price discovery. Schizoposters is one of the most undervalued collections in the space but for how long? Schizoposters are more than exceptional art and provocative statements. They embody the core ideologies of crypto, with a rich lore that speaks to the true pioneers of this space. The community isn't just unique; it's a beacon for crypto natives and innovators.
