OK. Here's a summary of tonight's Alberta Prosperity Project meeting, with Mitch Sylvestre doing most of the talking.
Sylvestre denies he and Jeff Rath were fired from the organization, claiming Tanya Clemens and Chris Scott lacked the authority to remove them.
He accused Danielle Smith of betraying separatists and warned that alienating independence supporters could hand the next election to the NDP.
He's aiming to mobilize 1,000 independence supporters for the upcoming UCP AGM in Calgary, with plans to elect four or five sympathetic provincial board members who could help trigger a leadership review.
Another organizer noted three UCP constituency associations have already passed motions calling for a leadership review. She alleged UCP president Rob Smith was working behind the scenes to get constituency associations to pass letters supporting the premier.
APP supporters are being encouraged to buy UCP memberships, attend constituency association meetings and seek positions on local boards.
Sylvestre didn't ruled out forming a new political party if independence supporters are pushed out of the UCP. He also flatly rejected suggestions that his efforts could split the UCP and help elect the NDP.
"Who split this party up? Danielle Smith split this party up. Period. End of conversation."
And perhaps the most revealing statement of the evening came when Sylvestre explained why separatists should join the UCP:
"If you're buying a UCP membership, you are not buying it to support the UCP. You are buying it to support our cause for independence."

It's official.
More votes were counted in Alberta's referendum than in any other vote in Canadian history, including all federal elections.

The human cost of this referendum is immeasurable.

Albert Premier Danielle Smith said Ontario is sending 19 burn unit nurses and 5 OR nurses to Alberta to help care for injured soldiers from CFB Wainwright.
Some victims have burns on 30% to 80% of their bodies and changing the dressings can take up to 2 hours, she said.

When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations.
Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult.
Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth.

I interviewed Bernard about how, at 11, he walked 130 kilometres across the Arctic tundra to escape residential school. His two best friends didn’t make it home.
I stood with Barry in a field of 751 unmarked graves as he remembered being five, dragged from his mother’s arms by a priest, a police officer and an Indian agent. At eight, he was forced to help bury a child from his own school, a small body wrapped in white cloth beside a fresh grave.
I sat with Ursuline as she spoke for the first time about waking up beside her cousin’s lifeless body in a dorm at Marieval.
I walked the halls of Blue Quills with Alsena, who spent 11 years there and came out unable to read, known only as number 11, then number 39.
These are just four of the countless survivors I’ve interviewed over my career. I carry every one of their stories. They walked through hell to tell this country the truth.
Now denialism is surging. Survivors are being called liars online. And in less than a year, the testimonies of 38,000 survivors are set to be destroyed.
