📷Today is #SchoolCommunicatorsDay! I'm thankful to get to do what I do every day at @RapoportAcademy to share the great things that are happening in and out of our classrooms.
I got myself a fun gift to celebrate the day... a custom shirt with the nickname all the kiddos call me: "Picture Lady"
Not as fancy as Director of Communications. But also pretty accurate.
I also treated myself to day OFF before our show opens tonight.
I don't know who decided to make today a school holiday for our district, but I'm grateful. It feels like a, "Congratulations you made it through state testing" little breath of fresh air before the rest of May. 🙌
#SchoolPR Friends who use Flickr for photo sharing... I need your tips and help. I'm trying to transition from Google Photos because they changed their policy and those under 18 can't access it anymore, but I'm not finding Flickr that user-friendly (especially on my phone.)

Keep the eclipse glasses coming! You can drop them off at any of our four Waco-McLennan County Library locations or the Waco Convention Center. Glasses will be donated to Astronomers Without Borders for use in future eclipses around the world. @cityofwaco
Sometimes reporters want to cover a good story for your school short notice and no one is available for the photo op.... Coaches were at the area track meet... other school leaders tied up in meetings...

Just found out that I made the ensemble for our local production of Sound of Music! Proud of myself for being brave and going for it.
Goal of being a singing nun in a musical about to be accomplished. 🤩
Spent a little time this afternoon making a spreadsheet of all the physical DVDs we own so I can access the list easily on my phone and sort them alphabetically. Different tabs for kid movies vs mine.
We don't have a lot, but it's nice to keep up with them!
