Dramatic new developments in the Tommy Robinson's @TRobinsonNewEra case. The foreman of the jury confirmed they did not have a unanimous decision.
He's sent them away to aim for a majority verdict, 10-2 or 11-1.
If not, Robinson is free, although the CPS may try again.

I’ve just been for a lovely lunch with friends in London and then saw this statue of Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti on my way home. He is serving life sentences for the murder of five civilians. This is really upsetting to see a killer of Jews glorified. @CamdenCouncil

🚨 Campaign Latest 🚨
Mainstream contacted me today saying they are going to do an article about my "admiration" of Tommy Robinson 🤷🏻♂️
This was my reply 👇🏻
Good afternoon,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond.
Yes, I have expressed support for some of Tommy Robinson’s views, particularly his willingness to raise issues such as grooming gangs at a time when many felt these concerns were not being properly addressed. Agreeing with someone on certain issues does not mean endorsing everything they say or do.
I believe in freedom of speech, holding those in power to account and speaking up about issues that others might prefer to ignore.
However, I do find it interesting that the focus is on social media posts I made years ago, rather than on my own background and experiences.
At just 18 years old, I was sent to fight in Iraq under a Labour government. I served my country, yet we went to war without being provided with all the equipment we needed. I would be interested to see the same level of scrutiny applied to the politicians responsible for sending young men and women into conflict without adequately equipping them.
Today, I am standing as a Reform UK candidate for Risca East because I want to stand up for local people, challenge a council that I believe has let our community down, and fight for greater accountability and value for taxpayers’ money.
I will not apologise for having opinions or for speaking up on issues I believe matter. I am happy to be judged on my views, my service to this country and, ultimately, what I intend to do for the people I hope to represent.
Kind regards,
Reform UK candidate for Risca East

If I was seriously worried about an attack from a hostile power (one with long range missiles and a navy, for example), I wouldn't blow up all my power stations and replace them with offshore windmills. And if I was daft enough to do that, I would do something about defending the windmills instead of not increasing the defence budget and telling 30% of the population to stock up on three days' worth of baked beans.

The Times editorial today is about… me!
So let’s focus on these ANONYMISED “leader” columns and who exactly writes them, because they don’t have bylines on them. Because they are COWARDS.
So I’m gonna tell you the industry’s little secrets that they don’t want you to know…
Here are 3 of the team that write the Times editorials (aka “leaders”)…
1. Daniel Finkelstein: a sitting Tory peer and former Conservative Party adviser. He’s also the reason Chelsea FC was run into the ground following the big Russia focus after the invasion of Ukraine.
2. Sebastian Payne: a former Spectator writer who ran the Tory-aligned Onward think-tank. Sebastian, whose skeletons I know well, has repeatedly sought Conservative parliamentary nominations. In fact, he keeps applying for a seat and I’m told today’s “leader” is his desperate last bid to get in Kemi’s good books.
3. Oliver Kamm: a former Oxford Labour Party Club chairman, an anti-Brexit Blairite, and author of a defence of neoconservative foreign policy. He was a huge proponent of the Iraq war (and still unrepentant).
These are the people who set the tone for the Times’s leader column, and these are the people who hide behind the anonymity afforded to them by the paper.
I say enough is enough.
If you’re going to wantonly attack people in the paper of record, be brave enough to put your byline on the item.
It’s time we started sending camermen to these people’s houses, doorstepping them, and making them truly have to own the things they write.

Today marks 100 days since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister.
Keir Starmer led the most hostile government towards free speech in modern British history. Andy Burnham’s first 100 days suggest he could be even worse.
Different Prime Minister. Same hostility towards our fundamental right to free speech.
